EU and Budget Cuts: Any rationality?

The news that more than billion Pound have been requested by EU as additional funding by the United Kingdom is not unexpected but it fall well within the range of irrational measures taken in recent times.

In a country in University students fall into high levels of debt, people are forced to leave their homes because of bedroom tax and reduction of housing benefits, the idea of giving even more money to the EU is absolutely nonsensical and to make matters worse Germany and France are supposed to get 'devolved funds'. The whole scheme is nonsense as it is nonsense to provide high levels of welfare benefits to other Europeans when British citizens living abroad would get inferior levels of welfare coverage or even none from other EU countries.

Of course, it doesn't occur to so call EU champions that the whole situation is completely unbalanced against the United Kingdom that is now supposedly being penalized for being more financially successful. But how successful the United Kingdom actually is? GDP numbers can hardly give a real picture of the British economy since population increases are proportionally higher than GDP increases and indicate, therefore, that productivity and income per capita are falling.

Zero Hour Contracts and Low-Pay hide dangerous levels of under-employment with people earning less and being less able to contribute to their own pensions funds if they have any. On top of that a so-called Think Tank even proposed to cut in half state pensions and lower taxes in a country in which public deficit is growing increasing public debt while at the same time private debt is growing because people who don't earn enough are supplementing their income with growing credit card debts and personal loans debt.

Yes, immigration is an issue and not just from countries outside the European Union. If average income is falling, this is a recipe for disaster. We are walking on melting thin ice.

Real British Nationalists don't downgrade British Nationalism

The vile and poison spread across Internet Forums are reminders of why British Nationalism is in the doldrums.

When ego is worth more than the aims of British Nationalism, when the tit for tat attacks matter more than the objectives Nationalism is trying to achieve, you instinctively know that there can be no victory.

In another time and another age, those who turn against the cause would have been shot or hanged. But we are the Twenty-First Century and honour and loyalty are in short supply as scarce also is the art of using our brains to discern and to tell the difference between rumours and facts. The principle of innocent until proven guilty does not seem to matter anymore and reputations are destroyed without any regard for truth nor evidence.

BNP: From mythical rags to mythical riches

From time to time, depending on the political agenda, the British National Party is said to be either bankrupt or swimming in a sea of money. I call it 'Political Mythology'.

I see comments published across the Internet saying either 'the BNP is finished' or 'the BNP is getting tens of millions of Pound.

The fact is that those who say that the BNP is bankrupt are the same that few days days say that the BNP is getting millions of Pound in donations, and viceversa.

Depending on the point that they are trying to make, they say one thing or the other constantly, contradicting themselves and losing all credibility in the process.

The truth is that the BNP is neither bankrupt nor swimming in a sea of money. For those of us who have been around quite a while, the organization is basically funded by its members most of whom are not well-off individuals.

Think Tank (or Sink Tank) proposes to cut state pensions

A true recipe for disaster. A Think Tank (or shall we should say a 'Sink Tank', has proposed to cut down state pension and lower taxes. So let's see, already deprived pensioners will get even less money as pensions (pensions are already taxed) and on top of that in an economy that is collecting less tax with tax revenues falling the "SINK TANK" proposes to collect even less tax at a time when the deficit is growing and the balance of trade is negative. Brilliant!

From the News:

Cut state pension in half and lower taxes, says think tank

Institute of Economic Affairs proposes a radical solution to solve the ballooning cost of paying Britain's pensioners

Maybe somebody will propose hanging those who reach pensionable age because it costs too much to pay pensioners. What about gas chambers to save cost? We are reaching the highest levels of irrationality and the number of idiots seems to be rising.

Pensioners work and because they work they get their pensions. Pensions are not a charitable payment. People have paid for their pensions and they are entitled to receive their pensions.

Cannabis = playing Russian Roulette with your mental health

Daily Mail: Cannabis = Russian Roulette with Mental Health

Professor Wyane Hall, drugs advisor to the World Health Organization, highlights the dangers of cannabis.

The conclusion is: cannabis is highly addictive, causes mental health problems and opens the door to hard drugs.

The facts of a twenty year study on the consequences of cannabis us;

  • one in six teenagers who regularly smoke the drug become dependent on it
  • cannabis doubles the risk of developing psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia
  • cannabis users do worse at school. Heave use in adolescence appear to impair intellectual development
  • one in ten adults who regularly smoke the drug become dependent on it and those who use it are more likely to go on to use harder drugs
  • driving after smoking cannabis doubles the risk a car crash, a risk which increases substantially if the driver has also had a drink
  • smoking it while pregnant reduces the baby's birth weight.
  • it is often harder to get people who are dependent on cannabis through withdrawal than for heroin
  • those who try to stop taking cannabis often suffer anxiety, insomnia, appetite disturbance and depression
  • long term use raises the risk of cancer, bronchitis and heart attack
The issue of cannabis is not about saving Police time as some politicians talk about. The issue of cannabis is a real problem that needs to be tackled as the problem that it is.

Allowing the free flow of cannabis will make matters worse. Countries that have relaxed legislation concerning cannabis are experiencing a steady increase of the number of people getting into serious difficulties and this is something that affects us all as a society.

Mental illness can also lead to violent behaviour and destroy families. When you are faced with the consequences of drug abuse seeing people close to you going downhill, you know that this is not a laughing matter nor an issue that be glossed up.

The damage done by drub abuse is cumulative. If somebody's capacity to relate to others is affected, if somebody's capacity to think is impaired, if somebody's behaviour becomes erratic to the point that he/she is a danger to himself/herself and to others, including members of his/her own family, we must put pressure on politicians to do what is right instead of doing what they think is 'convenient/modern'.

GDP growing but the deficit is still there and income per capita is falling

Public debt grew exponentially under the Labour Administration and public debt is growing under the Conservative/Liberal Democrat Administration.

GDP figures do not reflect reality. Although GDP has grown in nominal terms, in real terms income per capita has fallen. We have more people who earn less and save even less.

For years and years, we have heard about Pensions Blackhole.

Well, with people working today with Zero Hour Contracts and people not earning enough and therefore not paying enough taxes and unable to save, the country will have to spend even more to keep vast numbers of people alive and this means more expensive public services and higher welfare payments that will have to be supported with higher taxes and higher deficits.

What is more, the vast majority of those growing up below the poverty line will be disadvantaged and will inherit the state of deprivation that will be transferred from one generation to the next and this is the point when poverty becomes chronic poverty.

So then, what are the prospects for a country with entire segments of its population living in chronic poverty? You only have to look at countries where chronic poverty is a reality. If you don't earn enough, you don't feed yourself properly and you are plagued by illnesses, in time intelligence levels will fall creating an underclass that will be completely dysfunctional.

Children coming from disadvantaged households or unstable family relationships face an uphill struggle that will condition them for life.

The financial reality and the social reality walk hand in hand.

Message for Nationalists: Get together or Die.

Douglas Carswell, first UKIP MP in Clacton. The message for Nationalists in the United Kingdom is: find the way to get together and fight for a common cause or condemn yourselves to oblivion.

Marches and demonstrations are alright provided you get together, get organized, fight elections and win elections.

The tit for tat actions, spreading hatred against each other in Facebook and in other fora is fine if you want to be losers forever. People see you as losers and stop paying attention to you or listening to what you have to say. Rumours, accusations and innuendo make you a laughing stock, something to be derided. Some people stop hating Nationalists. They laugh at Nationalists and some even start feeling pity for anybody who describe himself or herself as a Nationalist because they see him or her as a mental case.

The infighting has been going on for ages and it has to stop. So called leaders must understand that they are leaders of nothing if they do not have a credible political presence.

British Nationalism R.I.P.

I don't think that many rational individuals would disagree if I say that British Nationalism is making itself redundant.

Infighting, personal and ideological grievances, lack of understanding and lack of awareness of what is there to be achieved and how have turned what used to be a golden promise into an ongoing nightmare.

Firstly, it was fragmented. Now, the fragments themselves have become fragmented.

Looking as an external observer would do, I would say that there is not a single name, a single personality, that can unite British Nationalism to make it, once again, a valid electoral option. In order to change anything, you have to get people elected with enough support to provide real options.

The battle is raging and the British Nationalism is caught totally unprepared, totally divided and unable to stand on its own two feet to do anything about anything.

The issue of being a Civic Nationalist or a Racial Nationalist is now totally irrelevant because whatever strand of British Nationalism you look at they are all irrelevant by simple mathematics.

There are tens of thousands of Councillors across the land. How many of them are Nationalists? How many seats in Regional and Local Authorities? How many seats in the Houses of Parliament? And now, how many seats in the European Parliament or at the London Assembly?

I could be an idealist till the end of times but I am also a pragmatist and know that the present state of affairs is not conducive to political success.

Jeremy Clarkson: Stirring up the waters

Jeremy Clarkson 1982 Falklands
In typical Jeremy Clarkson's style, the BBC presenter has to be controversial because in fact being controversial is what makes Top Gear ratings what they are.

If you go to Argentina, travelling around in a car with number plates that remind the Argentinians of the Falkland Islands War seem to be most appropriate.

BBC's political correct mandarins have once again been taken by surprise and Jeremy Clarkson - once again - has taken them for a ride - not in a car but in the real meaning of the expression 'taking them for a ride'.

The news is all over the pages of the printing media and is of course being mentioned by television channels. Therefore, the advertising effect has been achieved and ratings are kept at healthy levels.

Another day, another controversy to maintain television ratings. What is obvious is that Jeremy Clarkson has more business acumen than all the BBC managers put together. You want notoriety. Go for it.

Political Correctness is not good for business and this is precisely the reason why the BBC and other mass media should open their door to the so called Far Right. Why are The Guardian, The Independent and other mass media losing money? Because everybody knows what they are about. The politics behind their articles is fully predictable. Get the so called Far Right involved and newspapers would become popular again. If television channels open up to the so called Far Right, programmes would be more interesting.

Do they want higher ratings and newspaper copies sold? Controversy is the name of the game.
