UK: In the midst of a crisis, Britain replaces Defence Secretary

In the midst of crisis, a man with a solid military career and proven record is out and a man with little or no knowledge of military matters steps in. Just a few weeks ago when there was talk about a new NATO Secretary General, the then British Secretary for Defense Ben Wallace MP was rejected outright by President Joe Biden that vetoed him pushing him out of the selection process for NATO Secretary General even before the process started.

At this point, a exchange of words between Ben Wallace and Volodomir Zelensky was made public. Ben Wallace told the Ukrainian President that 'Britain is no Amazon'. Not many hours passed when Ben Wallace himself stated that if there was a reshuffle he would not remain as member of the Cabinet and that he would not be standing for re-election at the next General Election. Now, as the reshuffle went ahead, Ben Wallace resigned to be replaced by Grant Shapps, a man with no military career, no rapport within the military and little knowledge of what being Secretary for Defense implies.

Grant Shapps

And all this is happening, when US nuclear weapons are returning to the United Kingdom to be placed in various RAF locations and work is well underway since the Pentagon was given the monies for such a huge and dangerous endeavour. Let us remember that the American government has now less overseeing of where the monies go and that budget controls have been 'relaxed'. In the military there is an expression: fire at will.

Ben Wallace

Ben Wallace is not a 'Yes' man. Perhaps this was the reason for his demise. Grant Shapps might be more maleable. There is another English expression: 'Ignorance is bliss'. Don't see, don't talk, don't listen. If the situation gets worse on the battefront, the present British govenrment will find itself with more that it can chew. The British Armed Forces are literally no existing. For decades, they have been downgraded both in terms of equipment and of manpower. A politician might end up asking the Armed Forces to do more than they can actually do and Britain as whole will be in jeopardy.

US Nuclear Weapons to be stationed once again in the United Kingdom

United Kingdom will once again have US nuclear weapons stationed at a special facility being built

Apparently the monies being asked 'to help Ukraine' include monies to be invested in a site that will contain US nuclear weapons and this comes on top of other sites in other European countries, including Germany - to name the most important country in Europe.

It is part of a project that includes air, land and sea launching capabilities. With this, Britain becomes a legitimate target for a nuclear attack.

This is the map of what will happen to London if a single nuclear head hits London. It will take barely 15 minutes for a missile launched in Kaliningrad to reach London. Scarcely the time for any kind of evacuation. Much of London will be wiped out and what is not wiped out will be made uninhabitable due to high radiation levels.

Work is underway to bring US nuclear weapons to the United Kingdom and RAF Lakenheath is being mentioned as one of the locations - let us remember that Britain had US nuclear weapons before in several locations that included Lakenhead, Molesworth and Greenham Common.

It must be remembered that climate change matters as long as there is a living planet. Nuclear War in Europe will make such concerns about climate change totally redundant. As Adolf Hitler stated, armies are made for war. US has the clear intention of using nuclear weapons using Britain as a platform to launch nuclear weapons.

The arrival of such weapons in the United Kingdom will certainly be welcomed by those in the Russian Federation that favour the use of nuclear weapons. In fact, the arrival of such weapons in the United Kingdom could actually trigger nuclear war in a pre-emptive attack against the United Kingdom.

Ukraine: promises sound good, but are they good?

Sitting in an office with the television set by my side watching the news, I suddenly was focused on a report coming from New York, USA, about the Twin Towers and airplanes crashing onto the sides of the towers and couldn't possibly imagine that just a few weeks later war was to arrive in Afghanistan, country that was to be subject to carpet bombing. The smoking mountains were on television screens across the world. Just about two years later came yet another disastrous event that was the invasion of Iraq that completely destabilized the Middle East causing wave after wave of refugees. There was Libya, Syria and so forth afterwards.

The present war in Ukraine has been going on for more than a year and there is every indication that it could go on and on, threatening to engulf Europe as a whole. I do remember the war in Yugoslavia, war that ended up with the end of Yugoslavia and that in more than one way led to expansion of NATO that created the present war in Ukraine.

Long before the present war, Ukraine was in trouble, unable to make ends meet, with internal upheaval and ethnic tensions. Western Ukraine did not love Eastern Ukraine very much and World War Two is ample evidence of it when one side of Ukraine supported National Socialist Germany and was very much involved in what we know as the Holocaust and Eastern Ukraine sided with the Allies. Paradoxically, history repeats itself following what happened in Yugoslavia. Croatia and Bosnia Herzegobina were on the side of National Socialist Germany. Heinrich Himmler used to boast about the fact that Muslims from Bosnia Herzegobina joined the SS and were 'good fighters'. It did not come as a surprise the fact that Germany was the first country to recognize an independent Croatia because, after all, Croatia was on the German side during World War Two.

What happens today in the Baltic Republics is no surprise either. SS officers remarked the cruelty of Lithuanians against Jews. They described the scenes of an execution carried out by Lithuanians against Jews. The Lithuanians killed Jewish men, women and children and after the execution they danced on top of the corpses playing accordions and singing.

One conflict after another seems to be waged against people who fought against National Socialist Germany. Yugoslavia was dismantled and all the focus was against Serbia that in two World Wars fought against Germany and Austria. Now the focus is against Eastern Ukraine and against the Russian Federation that as part of the then Soviet Union lost tens of millions of people fighting against National Socialist Germany.

But, going back to the title, how good are the promises and what is the real agenda? The real agenda is to weaken Europe and the USA is using the conflict in Ukraine to weaken Europe and threatening to destabilize Europe with the willing cooperation of European governments that seem all to eager to please warmongering lobbies with complete disregard for their own peoples. In their efforts, adulating politicians are getting rid of outdated equipment that even when it is outdated it will be difficult to replace. Denmark, Netherlands, Norway and others are not known for being military powers and even Germany that was kept under American domination is no military power at all. Warplanes are foreign made and bought from the shelf since Germany was not allowed to develop its war industries. The only pieces of equipment worth mentioning are the Leopard tanks and even so they have proven to be pretty useless in real combat.

Promises here and there and big speeches including speeches made by Ursula von der Leyen, the disastrous former German Defense Secretary and present head of the European Commission can only make a bad situation worse. Present German Chancellor Olaf Scholz talks both ways, sending equipment while expressing fears regarding the involvement of Germany in yet another war.

Ukraine. Will sending obsolete equipment help or hamper war effforts at the same time that raises the stakes?

There is an awareness that equipment sent is obsolete or surplus and that also banned weapons are being sent to a theatre of war thus increasing the risk that all weapons will be allowed including nuclear and chemical weapons.

Let us remember in which year we are: 2023. When were the F16s introduced? 17 August 1978. NATO is sending flying coffins.

The longer the confllict goes on the greater the risk of greater involvement and we must also think about the issue of population movements that can seriously affect host countries. Even if at the beginning of the exodus host countries are willing to show solidarity, sooner than later welcoming attitudes turn to contempt and fatigue.

Poland itself has proposed a referendum on migration to challenge EU policies on migration. Hungary has been pretty open about its unhappiness about huge numbers of migrants coming to Hungary. Within the EU, countries hold different views about migration and especailly after decades of mass migration not just from within Europe, but from far away.

Migration has political consequences because in the end it is all about social stability and economics. The Covid Pandemic led to lockdown that had a negative widespread effect. This combined with the energy crisis and migration has not made life any easier and suddenly we are having to cope with inflation that is more than double what the Bank of England was expected to manage.

Politicians have a way of manipulating facts regarding migration, pandemics, and any other factors involved, causes and consequences, in a way to suit their own political agendas and this is not helpful at all because, on top of lack of data, they add confusion and instability. This is especially serious when elections are on the horizon. Rationality dies to be replaced by irrationality reinforced by lack of knowledge.

Ukraine: Henry Kissinger understands that diplomacy will do what armies cannot do and vice versa

Henry Kissinger understands, better that anybody else, that diplomacy will do what armies cannot do and vice versa.

Since the end of the Twentieth Century, Gun Ho policies have led the USA nowhere and one adventure after another has ended in disaster.

It took more than 20 years to fight a war that started with George Bush Jr and finished with Jo Biden in a rather inconclusive manner with Taliban once again in control of Afghanistan. Iraq was completely destabilised entire regions leading to a series of ongoing regional conflicts that have made the world less safe.

When it comes to Ukraine, USA is faring no better in a war by proxy that threatens to totally destroy Ukraine. It is costly for American taxpayers and it is costly for Ukraine in human lives, in a country in which those who went to the front are surrendering in throws and those who were supposed to go the front are hiding to avoid conscription.

Henry Kissinger proposed partition with Ukraine keeping areas that are not ethnically Russian. Taking the fuel away from the fire, the fire has nothing else to keep it going. With utmost regularity, the Biden Administration is having to ask Congress for vast amounts of money - not to keep the costly apparatus of the US administration, but to finance yet another war.

There is also the fact that it will take just the actions of a single NATO country to start World War Three in Europe. Poland is the likely candidate to do such a thing if Poland ever deploys Polish troops inside Ukraine. The Biden Administration is running out of time to prevent the USA from being dragged into World War Three by the Polish government.

Henry Kissinger's proposal was aimed at preventing what now seems inevitable. President Zelensky is doing everything possible to enrage the Russian Federation and by doing this President Zelensky could up like the rebels of Bay of Pigs in Fidel Castro's Cuba. If you antagonise those who publicly support you their support is not going to last too long.

NATO is not a united front and they have conflicting interests. The EU is not a united front and members have conflicting interests. Once again, Winter is around the corner. With falling temperatures, energy consumption will once again go up and energy prices will once again be on the way up putting economies - once again - to the test. It is easy to talk about capping prices in days of plenty with high temperatures. When temperatures drop, prices will go up and this will be felt across Europe.

Giving diplomacy a chance will go a long way to prevent an even major disaster in a European continent  with so many countries in recession.

China will make a move taking the world by surprise

My belief is that China will make a move when the world least expect China to move. Taiwan might not be a strategic target from a territorial point of view, but it has huge political significance. The West, and in particular the USA, have made Taiwan a target. By recoving the territory we today called Taiwan, China will be making a gigantic political statement and will leave the West at a loss and facing massive embarrassment.

By making regular political statements that it cannot back up with actions, the West will be left eggfaced. Taking back Taiwan, China will gain massive credibility as the West will lose credibility. American allies and pseudo allies in Asia will have to think very hard about their political and strategic alternatives.

How soon might China launch a military operation to bring back Taiwan into the fold? As minds are focus on the European continent, China knows that keeping things together in Europe will require every bit energy and no matter how many allies or psedo allies USA has in the region, the support and/or capability of the said allies and peudo allies cannot be guaranteed.

Will defeat in Asia, after the failures in Iraq and in Afghanistan, be an all-time low for American foreign policy?

Argentina: Tri-partite approach to politics

Argentina: the two party system comes to an end?

For decades, Argentina has been about Peronistas (Justicialistas) and Radicales, not that the names actually represent what both Justicialistas and Radicales used to represent. Argentina has gone from crisis to crisis, from military regimes to military regimes, from debt to even bigger debt and now faces inflation rates of more than 115 percent with massive levels poverty.

A newcomer in Argentine politics manage to reach levels of support of 30% leaving both Justicialistas and Radicales behind. In October 2023, Argentina faces the first round of elections and there could be a second round of elections (ballotage) if no candidate reaches the minimum required for an outright result.

Many years ago, Argentina attempted to maintain the value of the Peso pegged to the US Dollar, something that ended in tears as it was practically impossible to maintain parity without massive levels of indebtedness leading to default. The newcomer proposes to replace the Peso altogether to adopt the US Dollar as currency. Why? Because he says that it will be the ultimate weapon to get rid of inflation.

If Argentina adopts the US Dollar as national currency, what happens to Mercosur? The regional block has been under enormous economic and political pressures because of both internal and external issues. Just by mentioning the names of the countries that are members of Mercosur one realizes what a complex situation this is.

MERCOSUR countries:

Full Members: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay

Associate Members: Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, and Suriname

Venezuela was supposed to be full member, but has been suspended indefinitely

Trade with China has been a bone of contention. Uruguay that exports 56% of what it produces to China even threatened that if an agreement was not reached its membership of Mercosur could come to an end.

At one point, it was suggested that that Mercosur should have its own currency to challenge the US Dollar. So what happens when a major member and founding member of Mercosur playes with the idea of replacing its own national currency with the US Dollar?

If the issues concerning China would not break up Mercosur, such a currency change could certainly be the last drop.

Therefore, for Mercosur, who holds the rains of power in Argentina could be a make or break situation for the entire block.

What is an asylum seeker? Those crossing the channel are not asylum seekers

If you are in trouble, you approach a British Embassy or British representation in your country of origin or claim asylum at a port of entry ie airport, harbour. Those entering the country illegally are not asylum seekers. They are criminals. Where do they come from? They mostly come from France. Did they ask for asylum in France? No, they did not. If they had applied for asylum in France they would be coming with proper documentation because France is not a country at war.

This is the reality, the proven facts, and the rest is left-wing propaganda aimed at undermining the United Kingdom. We have no personal records of the ones entering the country illegally. They could well be organised criminals. They could well be individuals coming to cause harm. This is why illegal migration is a time-bomb. We don't know who they are, we don't know where they are coming from and we don't know what they are up to.

We are simply putting British communities in jeopardy. Every ten years we have got a national census. What is the point of spending money in national censuses, what is the point of having passports and borders if we are going to allow individuals to enter without any documentation?

Migration: Doing nothing, as Labour suggests, is not a valid option

Migration is a ticking bomb and, if no solution is found, it could destabilize Britain as a whole. There are all kinds of issues involved including internal order and National Security. In many areas, the situation is already unmanageable. The word invasion is not an exaggeration. It is an everyday reality that many communities across Britain have to deal with. Do we need to wait until it turns into widespread violence?

Before, the country was going through severe social problems, and uncontrolled migration has made things much worse. Unfortunately, we are entering a new stage in which social disintegration is leading to confrontation. Frustration is leading to widespread anger.

Hotels full. Barges? Tents? Transforming Britain into a gigantic illegal migration camp is not the answer, but the gateway to massive security and social problems. Britons are patient, but don't keep pushing them because they will react and when they react they will keep going.

Most politicians are not listening and they are not listening at their own peril. Ideological stances that are against British interests are going to collide with angry local populations that feel that they are being taken for a ride. More than 7 million Pound a day the illegal migration crisis is costing British taxpapers, but this is only one aspect of the real bill being paid. If National Security and Social Unrest are taken into consideration, the cost of illegal migration is a lot higher.

Niger: Massive popular support for Armed Forces

Colonial powers are colonial powers. USA and France try to control Niger using subserviant regimes and the people of Niger say NO by showing massive support for Niger's Armed Forces.

It is self-evident that the people of Niger have had enough of politicians and welcome the military takeover. This is not new. It has happened elsewhere and it goes to show that democracy that only exists by name, but not by substance is bound to be replaced from time to time.

As always, outsiders that go by titles and empty labels fail to recognize that representatives are not the people. When we say power to the people, by the people and for the people, we are not referring to elected politicians but to the citizens themselves that, disilusioned with politicians and the political system, decide to take matters into their own hands.

As it is usually the case, USA, France, the UN are controlled by the elites that believe that they know more than ordinary citizens who have to live or die because of decisions made by the elites. Suddenly, somebody based in Washington, Paris or New York believes that he or she knows more than the people of Niger what serves Niger. First step, they threaten Niger with financial sanctions. Second step, they threaten Niger with armed intervention. But they don't want to do it themselves. They use other countries that they control to do their dirty work. They will use African blood to bring Niger under control. This is modern slavery. The white masters will use black Africans to exert control.

The Marikana Massacre in South Africa is a typical example of colonial domination, even under the ANC administration. When African miners asked for a salary rise, black South African Police killed black miners shooting them in the back to protect foreign interests. Even British journalists publicly called Niger a French colony and part of the French Empire. Any rebellion will be soaked in blood so that the colonial powers can continue exerting their power over Africa. This is the real example of racist domination. Not the fake protests carried out by fake protesters in the Developed World.
