On the nature of war: if somebody risks his or her life for the country you see as your country, he or she are duly entitled to be protected by you.

In 2001, Britain went into Afghanistan and stayed there 20 years. In order to fight in Afghanistan, British forces needed the cooperation of local populations, people that put themseves in mortal danger simply because they were helping Britain to fight a war. In Britain's hour of need, they were there to support Britain and therefore Britain has the moral obligation to protect them in their hour of need.

In 2003, Britain went into Iraq and needed the cooperation of Iraqis to be there. There same applies then to Iraqis that helped Britain and it must be remembered that many of them not just risked their lives. They lost their lives.

When the point was raised that Britain should honour those who fought for Britain during World Wars, including World War Two, some Conservative MPs showed that they opposed the plan not because of what happened in World War Two and other wars of a long gone past but because of present geopolitical considerations that have nothing to do with the risks people took 70 or so years ago. If we were to think in such a way, Britain would see the French Resistance as enemies because of the fight against Napoleon.

Sajid Javid and others are right to consider honouring Muslim fighters that fought for Britain during World War Two.

Britain: When the Chancellor of the Exchequer and other key figures resign....

When key figures of the government resign is a serious issue, but having none other than the Chancellor of the Exchequer walking away when the economy is facing Armageddon is more than serious.

If there is war in Europe, where is the money to beef up the Armed Forces going to come from at a time when Britain faces widespred industrial unrest?

Look at the state of the second most important country in the North Atlantic Alliance. Who will want to take the burning handle of the pan? Any takers? The country cannot be without a Chancellor of the Exchequer at such a crucial time. After the FTPA was repealed on March 22nd 2022 (Fixed Term Parliament Act), could the government fall and an advanced General Election be called?

Some will say that the Conservative Party has a mandate until 2024 and that any changes should happen within the Conservative Party. Others will say that given the present state of affairs another General Election should be called to restore public confidence. What will happen? Political instability worsens economic instability and any uncertainty could lead to hyper inflation.

Politicised Police Forces that fail in their duty of care put everybody in danger

Message sent to Warrington Police, Home Secretary Sajid Javid, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick and other relevant authorities

Dear Sir/Madam,

I witnessed events surrounding the presence of Tommy Robinson and given the failures of your officers – presumably there was a Commanding Officer at the scene – that completely failed in their duty of care there is the certain potential for a situation to get completely out of control with unwanted consequences.

There were several acts of aggression that you failed to tackle. Something thrown against an individual might appear to be an innocent act but it could trigger events that you wouldn’t want to occur– Tommy Robinson was hit and people who came to support him were hit including females that were attacked. When the said females sought help from a female Police Officer they were blatantly ignored by the said Police Officer. Several complaints made during the events were ignored by Police Officers.

It has been reported that because of his foolish action Danyaal Mahmud has put himself in mortal danger. If Police Officers had acted promptly and arrested Danyaal Mahmud, the whole incident could have been defused and trust in Police Forces would have being reinforced. Instead, Police Officers chose to ignore the incident. Danyaal Mahmud walked away and was filmed celebrating the incident. If anything were to happen to Danyaal Mahmud, Police Forces will be directly responsible. He acted foolishly and your Police Officers failed to do their duty.

There were other incidents. Female supporters were attacked and as I stated beforehand when they sought the cooperation of a female Police Officer they were ignored. When somebody reports to a Police Officer that he or she has been attacked and the Police Officer in question ignores him or her and moves away, what do you think members of the public think about the conduct of the said Police Officer and of the entire Police Force?

The misguided attitudes of Police Officers have not gone unnoticed and such blatant failures will further add to present levels of mistrust. The politization of Polices Officers will produce loss of life sooner than later. If Police Officers on the spot were given the order to ignore acts of aggression, the buck stops with the Commanding Officer/s that imparted such order.

The public mood has changed and tensions are rising. As tensions rise, prepare yourselves for unexpected undesirable events. Protesters that engage in acts of aggression make themselves a target for acts of violence as Action is followed by Reaction. During the recent campaign for local elections canvassers and candidates were attacked. Members of Parliament have expressed concerns fearing for their lives. It is not the role of the Police to play politics. Police should not take sides. A one-sided politicized approach to policing can certainly lead to fatal consequences because it encourages certain groups to become more daring and more aggressive as they believe that they have a license to attack politicians and their supporters.

Best regards
