The Third Reich (Das Dritte Reich) was never defeated

For decades, we have been told a story and people all over the world have been celebrating the victory over Das Dritte Reich. We have been shown the images of a ravaged Germany, of concentration camps, everthing that fits in in the narrative that tells the world about the catastrophic end at the end of World War Two.

How much of that has been a charade, a way to ignore what actually happened? As always, you must follow the monies. Britain is constantly reminded about the Blitz, when British cities were showered with V1 and V2 bombs. You are shown the images of burning buildings and are told about the thousands of victims of the Blitz. Ordinary people, understandably, get very emotional about it. But, just a few years later, decisions were made that made a mockery of the suffering of those who were burnt live or suffocated or well kill by debris and of those who had to lament their passing.

So lets talk about history. When were the flying bombs known as V1 and V2 used against Britain? Well, here is the answer: The V1 bombs were used from June 13, 1944 until March 29 1945. The V2 were used from September 1944 until March 27 1945.

What happened to the German team that designed the bombs? Well, Wernher von Braun and his team went to work in the USA, became American citizens (all of them or some of them) and helped advance American technology and helped the USA start its Space Project.

In fact, the war was still ongoing when special teams were tasked to find German scientists, to rewrite their biographies (to make them respectable and to delete any bit of data that could become an embarrassment). 

The real history of World War Two might never be written to replace the fake history being taught around the world. Americans, British, French and Russians will want to maintain the belief that Adolf Hitler actually died in a bunker in Berlin. 

Such a belief is very much part of the narrative that has been repeated over and over again. So they will tell that those called Nazis are the bad guys, but they will be pretty embarrassed to accept that most of the surviving bad guys helped promote American interests around the world. Even more, one of Adolf Hitler´s personal bodyguards went to work in Argentina protecting Juan Domingo Peron and Eva Peron and when Juan Domingo Peron was deposed in a coup then Otto Johann Anton Skorzeny was employed by Israeli security services. Incidentally, Otto Johann Anton Skorzeny, a Waffen SS Officer was the man that rescued Benito Mussolini.

They do not want you to know that U Boots loaded with gold and other precious metals, diamonds, money and people were arriving in Argentina all the way up to the time when Juan Domingo Peron was deposed in a coup lead by the Argentinian Navy. They do not want you to know either that The Vatican and the Red Cross facilitaded free passage to Latin America for SS officers. A change of name and/or a change of "nationality" and there you were, travelling free and without any worries, ready to start a new life in countries like Argentina, Urugua, Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, Chile and elsewhere.

And the following is a story, especially prepared for you. 

This is a copy of the Uruguayan marriage certificate of Josef Mengele. Josef Mengele, who originally travelled to Argentina where he prospered as a businessman, married the widow of his brother in the Province of Colonia, in Uruguay, using his real name. His presence was known by Britain, USA, and other countries and they knew full well the role he played during World War Two and never bothered him. Josef Mengele died at the beach in Brazil due to heart problems. With full knowledge of Western German authorities he travelled to Germany after World and later returned to Latin America. His movements could not be more public.

I was about 21 years old when Josef Mengele died at a beach in Brazil, on February 7th 1979. My father was a pilot and he often travelled alone to Brazil, but he always kept his movements secret. Shall I add that among my first toys there was a Stuka Dive Bomber that my father gave me. My father knew chemical formulae by heart and had the then typical Deutsche Punktlichkeit. He used to make people laugh when it was found that other people used to check their watches when my father arrived to see if their watches were on time. My father was for a time President of the two main social clubs of the town, clubs that did not welcome non whites. During a storm with very strong winds the ceiling of a neighbour´s house that happened to be Jewish was blown away. My mother often referred to my father´s reaction when that happened: "He was standing on the streets, laughing, applauding and celebrating his neigbour´s misfortune".

But the story goes on and it becomes more interesting. In June 1973, there was a military coup in Uruguay, followed by a military coup in Chile in September 1973. Days before the coup in Chile, my father and I attended a meeting of military officers in Uruguay. My father had a very good relationship with the military. At that meeting, it was announced that a military coup was going to happen in Chile.

And the story becomes ever more interesting. We come to Track II, a CIA operation organised to depose President Salvador Allende and Henry Kissinger had active participation in it, involving in it SS and Gestapo Officers in Latin America in what later known as Operacion Condor. Henry Kissinger was obsessed with Chile and had even tried to prevent Salvador Allende from becoming Chilean President. Having failed to prevent Salvador Allende from becoming Chilean President, he decided to kill President Allende. But things did not stop. They went on. As part of the US called the South Atlantic Strategic Defensive Triangle, the USA - under Henry Kissinger direction - allowed the use of any means possible, including assassination and torture to carry out an ideological war. The USA trained military officers of the military regimes in Latin America to fight against, capture, torture, rape and kill ten of thousands of people. CIA officers were sent to Latin America to assist with "interrogation techniques". In Argentina, more than 30,000 were killed and many of them were thrown from airplaes flying at high altitude, drugged after being tortured. It is presumed that they died during the fall, death provoked by air pressure, before their bodies collided with the surface of the sea that for those falling from high altitude had the consistency of hard rock. We can go to Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia and other countries where similar accounts can be found. Bolivia is a particularly interesting chapter since the Butcher of Lyon, Klaus Barbie, was employed by the USA. But there were other significative places like Colonia Dignidad in Chile. Do you know who Klaus Barbie was? Do your homework.

Now, lets rewind a little. By 1942, it became evident that Unternehmen Barbarossa was not going well. German forces were not in good shape when the first Russian Winter arrived. The chain of supplies was much too thin and the Luftwaffe having lost much of its capacity in the West was not capable of providing German forces in the Eastern Front what German forces needed. German forces had tried unsuccessfully to capture Stalingrad. First, the city was bombed and left in ruins. This itself made the German advance more difficult as the ruins of the city became its defenders´ major asset. (July 17 1942 - February 2, 1943)

General Paulus army were increasingle isolated and surrounded be enemies that sooner than later managed to totally encircle his army. By then it was obvious that Germany did not have what it took to take the city, let alone the Soviet Union. So concerned capitalists and industrialists in Germany were justifiably worried about what would happen to their assets if Germany lost the war. A high ranking meeting was called to talk about what could be done to protect German assets. The assets were not lost even when Germany was said to have been defeated. Moreover, the Americans used the Gold they captured in what is known as the Marshall Plan. Soonafter the war, Germany prospered as German capitals that had remained hidden started to flow again, legally, in Germany and elsewhere.

So lets rewind a bit more. When he realised that the war was lost, Adolf Hitler prophesized that there would be a new Germany, a stronger Germany, after a confrontation between the USA and the Soviet Union (now Russian Federation, after the fall of the Soviet Union).

Now, lets see what is happening now. Relatively recent events in Europe are promoting German Rearmament (No Versailles Treaty on the horizon). Friedrich Merz was seen gloating and boasting about "the German Armed Forces will be the biggest in Europe". Compared to other countries, Germany is relatively stronger both economically and militarily. Germany no longer needs to justify its military strength as other countries are extremely happy to promote German rearmament "for the common good". And significative events are happening all the time. Now, a force of 4500 troops, part of Panzer Group, will be stationed in Lithuania. Never mind the numbers. The importance of such deployment is that it leaves behind postwar military and political limitations regarding the deployment of German fighting forces outside Germany. Moreover, the conflict in Ukraine has allowed German industry to test the efficacity of German weapons. Ukraine, like Spain before Ukraine (The Spanish Civil War) provides valuable knowledge about how effective German weapons are. Until now, German weapons were in the hands of Ukrainians. From now on, German weapons will be in the hands of German troops that will be especially trained to use them.

And who stands to benefit from German rearmament? Well, geopolitical changes will lead to Germany producing its own weapons, instead of importing them from somewhere else i.e USA. While other European countries will still be buying weapons "off the shelves", Germany will empower its own defense industries. Something that might not be ignored is the possibility that American forces will leave Germany and that Germany will have total control of any forces in its territory.

So, coming back to the beginning, the idea that Germany was totally defeated during World War Two contrasts with the fact that there was a continuity that is becoming ever more apparent. World War Two was just a battle. 

 

 

 

If Hitler had won World War Two, there would be no Israel

All Jews should put aside all ideological considerations and use their brains and they would come to the natural conclusion that if Hitler had won World War Two by defeating the Soviet Union, then there would have been no Israel. Right up to the point in 1948 when Israel was born, Palestine had been a British Protectorate. If Britain had lost the war, then Palestine would have become a German Territory. As it happened during World War One, the losers in the war lost most of their colonial territories. It happened to Germany after World War One and it would have happened to Britain and France during World War Two. So vast chuncks of the Middle, Africa and Asia would have come under German Rule and the Japanese would taken over the rest, including vast expanses of China.

Soviet Forces liberated Concentration Camps with the British and the Americans coming in as spectators once Concentration Camps had been taken over by Soviet Troops. The famous Balfour Declaration would have meant absolutely nothing and instead of migrating to Palestine, hundreds of thousands would have ended their lives in concentration camps or worse.

Whatever you might think in ideological terms, facts are facts. I wonder also what would have happened if Unternehmen Barbarossa had never happened. Entire German Divisions would with Panzer would have been available at Normandy. The Normandy Invasion would have ended with tends of thousands of American Troops, British Troops and troops of other nationalities falling prisoners of the German Wehrmacht. It must be remembered that many Europeans of countries occupied by Germany were pro-German and went on to fight for Germany. So nothing was clear cut.

When talking about history, we must put ideology aside and look at the historical facts of what happened on the battlefields.

Looking at the history of Japan and at events leading to the attack in Pearl Harbour, Admiral Yamamoto was totally against the Axis. He thought that signed a deal with Germany was against Japanese best interests. In the end, the Axe was against Germany itself. If the Axis had not existed, then the Americans would have been at war in the Pacific but would not have been at war in Europe, Africa or Middle East. President Roovevelt used Pearl Harbour as justification to spread the war. Germany made a significant mistake when it declared war against the USA.

Looking at present conflicts, it must be remembered that World War Two (or World War One, for that matter) did not happen all at once. There was a series of conflicts that started long before September 1939. Japanese expansion in Asia started long before World War Two. There was also the Spanish Civil War to consider. Each conflict became a step towards the conflict that we know as World War Two.

Keir Starmer´s idea about sending peacekeepers to Ukraine has not gone down well

 

Keir Starmer´s idea about sending troops to Ukraine as peacekeepers did not go down well, and Chancellor Olaf Scholz made an early exit from the gathering in France, saying that it was extremely premature to talk about sending troops anywhere before any peace settlement had been agreed.

But this was not all, for obvious reasons, Germany does not want to send troops anywhere in Europe when there is even the slightest possibility of a conflict of major proportions. Given the perception that the Russian Federation might send a big number of troops via Belarus, that could threaten Polish borders and seize Kiev in no time, Poland does not think either that this could be a good idea. Spain under General Franco did not get involved in World War Two. There is no appetite whatsoever for any involvement. 

For the moment and in the foreseeable future, there will be no EU participation in any negotiation. USA and the Russian Federation are the only two players involved and statements made by Volodomir Zelensky that no peace agreement would be possible without Ukraine´s participation and calls for the formation of an EU Army have little weight. In the end, if Ukraine were to reject a settlement agreed by the USA and the Russian Federation, USA could unilaterally decide to cease military and financial support. At this point in time, many EU countries that happen to be members of NATO might be thinking about the possibility of a reduction of American military presence in Europe.  

On the way to World War Three: This is not the end, not the beginning of the end. It is maybe the end of the beginning

 

Although, officially, the beginning of World War Two was September 3rd, 1939, in actual fact the World War Two started a lot earlier. 

In the early 1930s, Japan was battling it out with China. In 1936, the Spanish Civil War was yet another step. In 1938, the then Czchecoslovakia so much of its territory taken away. So other things were happening long before German troops launched the atttack against Poland.

Palestine, Ukraine and Yemen are just part of the picture. They are steps towards World War Three. All sides, as it usually the case, try to interpret the opponents' movements, according to what they think is the opponents agenda.

The war in Palestine is a war of extermination. The general idea is to get of Palestinians on the way to the creation of the bigger Israel. When Palestinians are out of the way, or even before that, Israel will use any justification to attack its neighbours. Ir is already waging war against Syria and Lebanon and other countries will be attacked.

The conflict in Ukraine has served to clarify the contradictions of a presumed unified European Union. The European Union is a political project and the controversies in terms of lack of support clearly show that behind the facade of unity there are dangerous differences when countries are asked to choose between the political project and their own national interests.

The conflict in Ukraine is only about winning. In the same manner, that Israel has no intention of allowing Palestinians to have a political solution, in Ukraine there is no political solution. So this is war for years to come and in the process other conflicts will appear, conflicts we have been hearing about as possibilities.

We have repeatedly heard the British Prime Minister, the Secretary for Defense and many other major and minor political personalities talking about doing the walking. The fact remains that in the event of any major conflict Britain is desperately ill equipped. One government after another has totally disregarded the need for Britain to be prepared. They have done the talking, but they haven't done the walking. Britain has barely 40,000 people fit for war of a total of about 73,000 - counting administration staff and cleaning personnel. Britain is not even capable of guarding its own borders or patrolling its own territorial waters.We hear talk about long term projects that mention 2035. Well, what has Britain got today in 2023? 

European politicians talk about their fears of yet another President Trump's presidency. Why? Because they fear that USA will walk away from NATO. Why? Because NATO is the USA. If you look at all other NATO members, they don't have the capacity to wage yet another World War. Germany's development was stiffled on purpose. Germany has been prevented from developing its true potential and German politicians will have to make a huge effort to convince German voters that they need to part with more of their tax monies to build infrasture to prepare the country for war. Germany's bridges and Germany's road have not been built to endure tanks and heavy equipment. But this, as important as it is, is practically nothing compared to the fact that Germany does not have neither the material resources nor the emotional preparedness for war. Decades of blame and apologizing for World War Two have left Germany disabled to even defend itself from aggression. And let us remember that Germany is - even it is poor present state - the biggest economy in Europe.

There are two certain possibilities - vertical escalation and horizontal escalation. Vertical escalation means the use of much more advanced weapons. Horizontal escalation means the spread of war beyond the present boundaries, but there is yet another possibility - vertical and horizontal escalation. Lets see how many countries have the capacity to combine both. Look at both sides of the divide to know what will happen next.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez: agreement with Catalunya's politicians generates political disquiet

Agreement with Catalunya's politicians including an amnesty was a necessary condition to ensure that he had enough support to remain as Spanish Prime Minister, but it does not come without political disquiet.

Just a short time ago, Catalunyan politicians were persecuted and even imprisoned for daring to organise an independence referendum. There is also the issue of Catalunya's debt to be declared fully paid. 

There is discontent in Spain regarding such agreements. Some said that those who were declared to have violated the Spanish Constitution are now being pardoned as a way to ensure political continuity.  There are also those who say that the agreements were an essential part of a deal to maintain political stability in Spain as a whole.

It is difficult to foresee the outcome of the present political impasse. Will the agreement re-ignite the independence process or was the agreement reached with pre-conditions that could prevent another referendum? Was a financial package for Catalunya a way to buy time? As long as the agreements do not lead to yet another political crisis, Pedro Sanchez should feel that it was the right option in a country in which absolute majorities seem to be a thing of the past.

Spain is not alone. Just hours ago, Netherlands went through an electoral process with the aim of choosing a new Prime Minister.  Being a majority is no guarantee. Because of political fragmentation, the political party that got more votes (more than 30 per cent) is by no means assured of being able  to choose the next Dutch Prime Minister.

In Germany, the survival of the ruling coalition led by Olaf Scholz is by no means guaranteed and we have a long way to go before the next Federal Elections due to take place in 2025. In recent state elections, CDU seemed to recover although only a little and Alternative fur Deutschland has reached more than 21 of popular support.

We could go on reviewing what is happening in different countries of the European Union and finding similar situations across the board.

Palestine never existed as a state, but as territories of other states

 

Regardless of the judgement of the International Court of Justice, there never was a State of Palestine. There were territories that belonged to other states that went to war against Israel and having lost wars against Israel they lost part of the lands that they controlled. Talking about war crimes is an idiocy. The said wars happened a long time ago and for decades lands taken from Arab states have been controlled by Israel.

The Organisation of the United Nations has no right to go around telling what can be done or cannot be done. It can only make statements that more often than not are no more than empty words because reality on the ground takes precedence. Any settlement can only be kept or changed by force and force is something that the Organisation of the United Nations doesn't have. Whether the rest of the world likes it or not, the Golan Heights - for example - are part of the State of Israel having belonged in the past to Syria. The sames goes for Gaza and West Bank. In a treaty signed by Israel and Egypt, the Sinai Peninsula was recovered by Egypt. 

Whether the rest of the world accepts Jerusalem as capital of Israel is irrelevant. Who controls Jerusalem? Israel. Therefore, the logical conclusion is that as long as Jerusalem is controlled by Israel and is an integral part of the State of Israel whatever the world says about it will not change an iota. All the talk about Jerusalem being an international city is bollocks.

World history is full of 'this belongs to me and this belongs to you'. Looking at the map of Europe itself, national borders have changed after a series of conflicts. The Europe of Metternich is a clear example. Looking at the map of the Americas much of a similar nature can be said. Much of the south of today's United States are occupied territories. They used to belong to Mexico and to other countries including Spain. The Louisiana was bought from France. 

The Six-Day War was a time of territorial acquisitions for Israel. Egypt, Syria and others waged war against Israel and lost. Their intention had been to wipe out of the recently formed State of Israel. So, they lost. Bad luck. Are they called 'occupied territories' because Syria and others didn't sign a peace treaty with Israel? Well, for all we know, for decades the attackers have not been at war with Israel and this led to a status quo. With peace settlements or without peace settlements, the reality on the ground is that for decades acquired territories have been under Israeli rule and wil presumably be under Israeli rule for the foreseable future.

There is an unhealthy war of words that is not conducive to peaceful coexistence. If the rest of the world were to be treated according to the same standards Israel is measured with, there wouldn't be peace anywhere. European countries would be at war with each other trying to recover 'occupied territories'. Is it about Danzig and Memel or Gdansk? What about huge chunks of Germany given to Poland and others? What about parts of Italy and Austria that are now part of neighboring countries? What about the status of Baltic Republics? Are we going to suddenly start ignoring reality?

I heard a Member of the House of Lords talk about what is happening today in the Soviet Union. Really? Apparently the noble Lord is not aware of the fact that the Soviet Union came to an end in 1991. It is all too good to talk about the UN Plan for the partition of Palestine, but it is useless talk. 

Much of what Western politicians talk via mass media is sheer nonsense when it comes to geopolitics. Just a few days ago, there was a military coup in Myanmar (Burma). Suddenly, we heard them talking about taking action against the military in Burma. They talk as if they owned Burma which, of course, they don't. Burma, apart from being a sovereign nation is a sovereign nation with close ties with China. China and some European countries have huge economic interests in Burma. The UN, the USA, or whoever else, can protest about the status of Muslim minorities in Burma until they become red in the face. Nothing is going to change.

In the meantime, those who pretend to have a say about what is happening elsewhere should pay closer attention to what is actually happening in their own countries.

The British Armed Forces are working hard to transform the Excel Exhibition Centre in London into a hospital to deal with the casualties of the Corona Virus crisis.

At the same time, Northern Ireland is seing the preparation of a vast morgue to deal with the bodies of those who succumb to the Corona Virus.

Tonight, people across the United Kingdom clapped hands to thank those working for the National Health Service for their efforts to save lives as the battle rages in Continental Europe with Spain and Italy being the two countries most affected by the crisis.

In the USA, trillions of Dollars will be invested to fight an enemy that is decimating families with New York being the worst affected by the infectious disease.

Borders have been closed to prevent the spread of a disease that has jumped across national borders and across the oceans to affect entire continents.

For those accustomed to watch catastrophe movies, this is not fiction. This is the real thing and the consequences of having to fight the disease will be long lasting. We are borrowing and borrowing to fight the disease because if we don't borrow to fight the disease there might be no tomorrow for the many.For those who study and do research about what wipe out the dinosaurs, there is the issue of a disease that could wipe out vast numbers of human beings across the world.

How could this possibly happen? Is this the consequence of unhealthy practices?

Undoubtedly, we need to ensure that there are resources in place to assist both individuals and companies during times of crisis. As people opt for self-isolation or are forced into self-isolation because of health concerns, the economy as a whole will be under enormous pressure.

During previous financial crisis, the State was able to intervene and acting as lender or guarantor could maintain the integrity of financial systems that underpin the economy as a whole. 

In the present crisis generated by having to deal with Corona Virus, once again, the State is coming out and investing public monies to support both individuals, public services and companies that are affected by a sudden slowdown. Such intervention by the State can only be temporary. The package of extraordinary measures is not something that be kept going forever. We must be aware of the potential for extremely negative consequences that will involve social and political repercussions.

We are talking about two worlds: the world before Corona Virus and the world after Corona Virus in the same manner that we had a world before 9/11 and a completely different world after 9/11. The way in which we approach the provision of healthcare will have to change. The way in which we approach immigration will have to change.

Most importantly, what we do about healthcare is not a national issue. It is an international issue. Countries will have to accept the fact that illnesses don't respect national borders, that what happens in one country will inevitably affect the rest of the world. Each country with international support will have to improve the provision of healthcare. Healthcare is a priority for all regardless of race, gender, religion, nationality or any other consideration. What happened in Wuhan has now affected more than 150 countries and is spreading in the same manner that AIDs that started in Africa has killed millions across the world.

National reactions to the Corona Virus crisis show the true state of the European Union. Border fences up. Freedom of Movement and the Schengen agreement go out through the window. National priorities kick in.

Germany is on a slippery slope downwards. The 2017 Federal Elections proved extremely difficult for Angela Merkel's CDU. After losing ground, SPD - their coalition partner - walked away not wanting to be in a coalition. In a desperate effort, Angela Merkel tried to reach an agreement with FDP and Grünen, attempt that proved to be unsuccessful. Why would the Grünen want an agreement with a losing political party when their numbers are going up? They went up in the Federal Election and they went up in state elections after the Federal Election. In fact, Grünen and Alternative für Deutschland are the net winners. In Brandenburg, in Bavaria, in Saxony, in Hesse and in Thüringen, the trend is very similar. Moreover, in Thüringen, CDU joined forces with Alternative für Deutschland to get rid of the Die Linke head of government and soonafter that the heir apparent of Angela Merkel (Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer) resigned soonafter.

The context for the new European Union budget includes the fact that Germany and others will have to fill up the financial gap generated by the British withdrawal. Tens of billions of Pounds will have to be found and the remaining 27 countries don't seem to be able to reach an agreement. France is facing an internal struggle with internal political problemas of her own. Spain just had elections in which no political party got an overall majority and a compromise had to be found to appoint a new government. Italy is still on the grip of an ongoing political struggle and shaken by migration. We could go on analyzing what other EU countries are going through. On top of all the troubles comes the Corona Virus with a whole new set of challenges. European Union economies are bound to suffer a great deal and the response to the crisis has been fragmentary. Unless the European Union manages to find common ground, a response based on closure of national borders will do very little to reassure members of the public about the integrity of the European Union. 

Having said that, there are other concerns. If the European Union cannot show unity and integrity when faced with a health emergency, what will happen if the European Union is faced with external aggression. Will it withstand external aggression or will it collapse along the cracks of national borders?  Whoever has a potential interest in testing the European Union's capatity to react as a block is carefully tracking European Union countries responses? Will they come together as one or will they fail to achieve a common response?

From the very beginning, it has become self-evident that the crisis generated by Corona Virus affects every aspect of our daily existence. It is about social cohesion, financial stability and beliefs linked to political developments and geopolitical realities.

AIDs started in Africa. Corona Virus started in a Chinese province -although some say that the real sources of AIDs and Corona Virus did not come to be by mere accident. The fact remains that the entire world has been shaken by Corona Virus and will continue to be affected in years to come. 

Because we are in Europe, let's look at events from an European perspective. Some of the main countries of the European Union have affected. France, Spain and Italy are now almost in a lockdown state. Others are moving in the same direction. 

For a brief moment, all the talk about Brexit and European deals, the immigration crisis, even terrorism have been left behind by Corona Virus. But let's make no mistake. The said issues are still very much the order of the day. They are not going away.

I always wondered about the fact that many regulations and mechanisms were in place to deal with animals and plants, but very little was in place to deal with health risks generated by the transit of human beings from one country to another. There was quarantine for dogs and cast, but little or nothing was there regarding human beings.

I could say that almost for the first time health measures have been put in place to deal with health risks associated with human beings. We need to start taking health issues related to migration very seriously. Whatever happens after the present crisis, we need to rethink the ways in which we deal with people coming in. Are they healthy? Do they carry deadly diseases that we don't now about?

Prime Minister Boris Johnson was very candid, extremely honest, about what Corona Virus will cause and stated that some families will lose loved ones. This is the grim reality of dealing with a viral infection. Yes. People will die and people have already died. But as Josef Stalin himself said it: one person's death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic. We don't know how many are going to die and we cannot foresee the number of those who are going to die. No one has a crystal ball. What we do know is that the present crisis should be a lesson, an incentive, to take the necessary measures to deal with migration as a way to minimize risks. 

When we take in people coming from all over the world, we need to ensure that they are healthy and this is a matter of national security.

In a Twenty-First Century of selfishness, Corona Virus could be a blessing in disguise, forcing Humanity to rethink its ways. 

We don't know how far the Corona Virus pandemia will go. But we know that it is forcing countries and people as individuals to think about the way we live.

This is a time in which if we don't look after our neighbours we would end up being victims. The virus doesn't care about national borders. The virus doesn't care about gender, race, sexual inclinations, ideologies or social background. If you are meant to get it, you are going to get it. Privileges amount to nothing. This a very democratic infection. At the last count, more than 150 countries have been infected, both rich and poor, regardless of backgrounds.

Corona Virus is making people think about our approach to healthcare and welfare in general. The views of an empty Mecca in Saudi Arabia send a very clear message to all those willing to hear. Whether you are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu or of whatever other religious persuasion or don't believe at all, you can be a target. This is the kind of terror that can target Humanity as a whole.

Corona Virus could be given a religious meaning. Let's put it this way: you can be rich. You can be powerful. I am going to get you anyway. Maybe Corona Virus is what is needed to make Humanity think, ponder, and change for the better. For months on end, we have been talking about wars, about trade wars, about terrorism, about political polarization and conflicts of all kinds.Suddenly, the world is focused on one issue. This is about survival of the individual and the said individual could be you. For you to survive, you need the actions of many others. We come to the point when every nation will be made to understand that we all need a National Health Service. If your neighbour is ill because he or she cannot afford to be treated then you and your family and everybody else you care for is in danger.

Faced with a catastrophe we need to think and to act. Corona Virus might be teaching us a valuable lesson that all of us need to learn.

Catalonia: A historical insight into what led to the present crisis

Eduardo Mendoza provides a different angle - a pragmatic non partisan approach - to what has led to present events in Spain and in Catalonia. The author, born in Barcelona in 1943, states in the book "Qué está pasando en Cataluña?"(What is happening in Catalonia?) deals with cetain historical assumptions that tend to distort perceptions of what is actually happening. He also deals with cultural aspects of Catalonia, immigration and how immigration has shaped up today's Catalonia and in end comes to the issue of independence of Catalonia.

Eduardo Mendoza clearly explains why he wrote what he wrote refering to those who are in favour of independence and those who are against independence:

"No lo he escrito para posicionarme en un bando o en otro. Personalmente, no me gusta ninguno de los dos, pero eso se puede atribuir a mi temperamento, a mis ideas y a mi experiencia personal. Lo he escrito para tratar de comprender lo que está pasando." (I haven't written it to take sides. Personally, I don't like neither, but this can attributed to my temperament, to my ideas and to my personal experience. I have written it to try to understand what is happening." 

Although I don't completely agree with some of the statements made by Eduardo Mendoza, the book provides a valuable analysis to deal with the complexities of the subject. When you deal with the history of Spain and of Catalonia nothing is black or white and over-simplication can lead to fundamental errors. Eduardo Mendoza states that although the Spanish Civil has something to do with what is happening today there are other more relevant factors dating from Post-Franco Spain. 

"Francisco Franco fue un criminal de guerra, un dictador y un político astuto y mediocre, pero su importancia histórica y su influencia han sido magnificadas." (Francisco Franco was a war criminal, a dictator and an astute and mediocre politician, but his political importance and his influence have been exaggerated.) By saying this, the author indicates that thinking that everything that happens today was due to the Civil War and Franco's regime is in itself an exaggeration. 

During the Civil War and after the Civil War, Catalonia was not a monolithical unit. Some Catalans sided with Franco and some Catalans sided with the Republic. Catalonia itself was divided across socio-economic classes. In principle, Catalonia didn't want independence. Catalonia wanted to recover its lost freedoms, an amnesty for those who had been incarcerated and those who had been forced to leave the country and the restoration of its autonomous government.

The book plublished by Seix Barral in 2017 is a brief, but right to the point analysis for those seeking to comprehend present realities of Catalonia and of Spain. 

It must be remembered that the book was published long before recent political events in Catalonia and in Spain under a Socialist Prime Minister that seems to have lost control. Excessive use of force and long jail sentences for elected representatives of the Catalonian people are reminders of the fact that repression is neither exclusively left wing or exclusively right wing. It happens under any ideology. What is shocking is that today it is happening in what is considered to be democratic Spain.

A quick look at what is happening in the main EU countries is more than enough to understand that the EU is in no position to negotiate anything. If anything, the EU has to devote all its energies to prevent a meltdown that would lead to the extinction of the EU.

In France, President Macron doesn't seem to be getting things done. It looks like a growing crisis that threaten the very foundation of democracy in France. Showering French citizens with tear gas and water cannons, and engaged in unwarranted acts of violence, Police forces that follow President Macron's orders are turning France into a battlefield. 

In Germany, the sheer idea of having to go cap in hand to ask German taxpayers for more money to subsidise failing economies is a sobering thought for ailing Angela Merkel that knows that she is being watched from inside and from outside the CDU/CSU. She is no longer leader of the ruling coalition very much like Theresa May is no longer leader of the Conservative Party and is very much yesterday's Chancellor.

Events in Austria, Poland, Hungary, Italy and elsewhere are not reassuring either. In Spain, recently elected Members of the European Parliament are not being allowed to join the European Parliament because of the struggle for independence in Catalonia. 

Contenders in the leadership election in the Conservative Party or those in opposition can talk about a deal but it is a deal that no longer exists. It was killed by Parliament and led to the downfall of Theresa May. Most of the world deals with WTO terms and has been doing so for a very long time. The issue is the survival of a protectionist club called European Union (before European Community, earlier Common Market) that almost single-handed led to a debacle across the Developing World when over-production and subsidies caused a dramatic fall of agricultural prices and the creation of massive foreign debt in countries that very much depend on agriculture to make ends meet.

Delivering Brexit is a sine qua non for the Conservative Party. They know that they either deliver Brexit or are replaced by the Brexit Party under a Marxist Prime Minister. This has enormous implications for Britain and for international equilibrium. Whatever is left of the |Special Relationship could come to an end. This is not just the crisis regarding Huawei. This is Huawei and everything else including Britain's membership of NATO.

Britain should seek to preserve the Conservative government by getting Brexit done as a way to prevent a major geopolitical catastrophe.

As drug cartels feel the heat of the fight against drug trafficking they are diversifying their activities engaging in making money out of illegal immigrants from very remote areas of the planet. What is even more gruesome is the fact that those who fall ill along the way are often executed by drug-traffickers and women are routinely raped.

Human beings are now the new commodity of organised crime that seeks to exploit those who are ready and willing to take any risks in search of what they think is going to be a better future and often end up dead and buried along the way.

For the sake of saving human lives, the time is long overdue to put an end to Political Correctness because Political Correctness is killing people. This is a new kind of terrorism that must be countered worldwide with all available resources.

The business of Illegal immigration is a danger to all civilised societies, regardless of political affiliation, regardless of religion, regardless of nationality, and regardless of race.It is an absolute disgrace. Those involved in this kind of trade should face trial for Crimes against Humanity.

Looking at unemployment rates across the EU, Britain has one of the lowest, if not the lowest, rate of unemployment. This means that on top of the monies Britain has been sending to EU, Britain is taking unemployed people from all over the EU and many of them are sending money back to their own countries of origin.

Despite such generous arrangement, countries like Italy, France, Spain and others are struggling and Spain in particular registers one of the highest rates of unemployment. What will Brexit change? For once, other EU countries will have to make a bigger effort to give their own peoples fairer working arrangements to lower local unemployment.

For Britain, Brexit is a big opportunity to focus its energies to raise standards in the United Kingdom by giving its own employed and unemployed a greater chance of success. Like me, many families in the United Kingdom have children who are struggling because they face unfair competition in the workplace. Many employers prefer to employ foreigners at lower rates instead of offering opportunities to the local British population.

One particular market that thrives in the United Kingdom is Prostitution. There never were so many Romanian and Asian prostitutes. Unable or unwilling to find conventional jobs, many choose or are forced to engage in one of the oldest professions. Many can hardly put together two English words in one sentence. What makes this possible? Freedom of Movement. The Pimps no longer need to forge travelling documents. They simply rent or buy property in London, for example, bring in a few girls and they are in business. Without immigration limitations, crime prospers.

Controlling borders is not just about National Security. It is about maintaining living standards and public health. Can countries like Romania compete with the United Kingdom? Surely not in the present economic environment. Richer countries become a magnet for undesirables, we import somebody else's misery and downgrade Britain in so doing.

Greece is yet another example. In most countries, people pay taxes. You cannot have public services and decent living standards without paying taxes. Countries that don't have a culture of paying taxes end up borrowing and borrowing even more to be able to keep public services. A country with a glorious past on which the foundations of Europe were built is now of the most indebted countries in the world, unable to sustain its own population and now flooded by imported misery from the rest of the world.

When we import people without qualifications, with values that have little to do with our own values, we import misery and this is why crime and deprivation are rising. Not long ago, a Pakistani-born Lady Peer denounced that certain Muslim individuals are importing wives from the subcontinent and using them as cash cows to benefit from the British welfare state. The women, many of whom don't speak the language of the country, are using to procreate children. The more children they have the more money they get from the Treasury, money that end up in the pockets of their pseudo husbands. They are basically slaves in a country that is on record as having abolished slavery.

The institution of marriage has been devalued allowing Muslims to keep several pseudo wives. This is detrimental for those directly affected by such misery but it is also profoundly detrimental and dangerous for Britain.

We hear over and over again about honour killings and forced marriages. We also hear about widespread gang rape. These are the symptoms of a society that is falling apart thanks to flood immigration and political correctness.

Brexit should not only be about controlling our borders. Brexit should also be about getting rid of undesirables that are exploiting the system using women and children to violate the most fundamental values of a civilised modern society.

Islam has become a depraved political ideology that perpetrates atrocities at the very heart of Western Societies. The very same societies that were seen as a safe haven to escape from the depravity and cruelty of Islam are falling victims of Islam and, because of this, tensions are rising and innocents are suffering.

A welcoming Europe is now turning into an angry Europe and real refugees are suffering and losing out because of depraved individuals that are colonising Europe acting under false pretences.

President Donald Trump is due to arrive in the United Kingdom on July 13th 2018. On the build up to the Presidential visit, the British Broadcasting Corporation who visibly doesn't welcome President Trump has been broadcasting a series of programmes that attack the reputation of the American President given credence to individuals who have made all kinds of accusations of a personal and private nature against President Trump. The timing of the broadcast shows very clearly the animosity of the BBC and a deliberate attempt to promote a climate of confrontation. 

Police Forces in the UK have raised the alert about the potential for civil unrest given the fact that the British public is divided in terms of supporting or opposing President Donald Trump. Despite this, the BBC has continued his very well organised campaign of provocation that will certainly undermine the efforts of Police Forces in the United Kingdom to prevent the unthinkable.

The Mayor of London himself has engaged in provocation by supporting the idea of putting a provocative balloon in the air with the aim of adding logs to the fire. Sadiq Khan has been blatantly unable of dealing with rising crime in London and seems determined to promote crime of a political nature in the streets of the capital city.

All this is happening at a time when the United Kingdom is going through a political process that has heightened tensions. Some members of the public therefore need little encouragement to get involved in acts of violence as a way to show their frustration whatever side of the political arguments they are in. It is therefore advisable that mass media and political authorities don't do anything to make things worse than they already are. We all benefit from peaceful demonstrations as long as they don't become a battlefield.

There are many important issues to talk about. Undoubtedly, what we call Brexit is inextricably linked to the relationship between Britain and the USA. If in an effort to reach an agreement with the EU, Britain were to accept conditions that would not allow Britain to trade freely with the US and with the rest of the world there would be extremely serious repercussions. It goes without say that British public opinion is extremely divided but it must be added that vested interests and ideological stances stand on the way of solutions that would benefit all parties involved.

We are  either all winners or we are all losers. Looking at developments in the continent, it is self-evident that what remains of the European Union is very much disunited. Whether we speak about France, Italy, Greece, Hungary, Austria or Poland - for example - the cracks are plainly visible. The disagreements are of a very serious nature. In Germany, there is a very fluid political situation that could be made even more serious if Germany fails to agree a deal with the United Kingdom. German manufacturers for whom US and Britain are crucially important customers are closely watching developments that could damage German industry leading to mass unemployment at a time when the issue of immigration is leading to a change of the political landscape.

Not everyone of those taking part in demonstrations is fully aware of the whole picture and of the consequences of No Deal. Not many are fully aware that the EU has a lot more to lose if there is No Deal.

World War Two has been a subject of interest in my family for understandable reasons and had a profound impact on me from my early childhood. Today, more than 70 years after the end of World War Two both in terms of events that happened during World War Two and after World War Two, the subject appears to be as relevant or even more relevant that it was in the days of World War Two.

We are daily bombarded with references to World War Two and words pertaining to the ideologies very much linked to the conflict are very much part of today's political discourse. There are legal cases across Europe concerning World War Two and this includes Britain where there are legal cases in British courts and there is intense debate involving political parties regarding Jewish issues

A few days ago, in Poland, a law was passed banning references to Polish participation in the plight of the Jews, practically saying that no Poles were involved in the plight of the Jews when in fact history tells us that Poles, Ukrainians and peoples of many other nationalities including French, Italians and even The Vatican were involved in the plight of the jews. 

There is no denying that there was active and deliberate persecution of Jews in Europe but there are serious doubts about numbers and methodology and anybody who raises serious questions about the official version of events suddenly finds himself or herself under attack. Knowing history and accounts about history, many things cannot be written in stone and so called official versions are bound to be countered when new evidence arises showing that official accounts are not accurate or are in dire need of amendments. If it is valid when it comes to the Titanic or the fate of the Russian Imperial Family, it is valid when it comes to the persecution of Jews in Europe - no matter how many laws are passed to deny individuals the right to ask questions and to raise doubts about the veracity of many historical events.

I look at developments in Europe during World War Two and it becomes immediately apparent that there are serious cracks in official versions of events and especially when what is known as the Jewish Holocaust is said to have reached a climax when Germany was fighting in several fronts in Europe, in Africa and in the Middle East. Germany was fully committed in the battlefields. Whoever was not deployed in the battlefields had to be used in the home front to produce what was necessary to keep Germany alive and this was not just about what was necessary to continue the war effort. Manpower had been stretched to the limit. Because Germany didn't have enough manpower, slave workers were employed and foreign nationals did run so called concentration camps.

Fuel was in short supply. Much of the effort made by the Afrika Korps was done to secure oil sources to keep the Wehrmacht operational and after events in Africa and Middle East lack of basic supplies marked the beginning of the end because every bit of fuel available was desperately needed to prevent Soviet advances in the East and to prevent Allied advances both in the West in the South.

Logic tells us that being so over-stretched, the running of the camps would been even more severely affected. If there was little the local population could get with constant bombardment, there would have been even less resources available for concentration camps. If people outside concentration camps were facing extreme rationing, those in concentration camps would certainly be facing starvation and therefore most of the deaths in concentration camps would have been caused by starvation and diseases related to starvation. Those found still alive when then camps were taken were found suffering from extreme malnutrition and this reinforces the idea that malnutrition and lack of basic sanitary facilities were in fact the biggest killers.

When Germar Rudolf then working for the Max Planck Institute suggested that there were not enough chemicals to justify the official versions of events, he was fired and was also forced to forget about his PhD at the University of Stuttgart. As if this wasn't enough, a warrant of arrest was issued forcing him to flee to Spain, to England and ultimately to the USA from where he was extradited to face courts in Germany. Germany, a highly cultured country, prosecutes anybody who dares to challenge the official version of events even if the official version of events cannot be supported with factual information. Starvation, diseases related to starvation and ailments caused by poor sanitation seemed to be the most likely cause of death in concentration camps. Vast numbers of people living in very crowded conditions would have been prone to contract lethal infectious diseases very much as it happened during several plagues in the history of the European Continent. Burning corpses in ovens or pires or burying them in collective graves would have been the obvious way of disposing of the corpses of those who had succumbed to starvation or disease.

Was there persecution of Jews? Yes, there was persecution of Jews but camps were not only meant for Jews but also for peoples of other ethnic backgrounds including prisoners of war. Life in crowded conditions combined with malnutrition leading to starvation and illnesses was the most important cause of death. There were executions but not enough to justify the numbers that were registered as factual information when in fact they were the product of speculation. We will never know how many people died during World War Two including those who died from natural causes. If it is difficult to ascertain the number of casualties in today's conflicts, we can imagine that during World War Two it would have been even more difficult to determine accurate numbers.

People who have different views about what happened in those days should not be criminalised. Was there persecution? Yes, there was. Did people die in concentration camps? Yes, they did. How many died? We will never know. How many died from starvation and diseases? We don't know because there are no records. There are not enough records of executions and there are not enough records of any other cause of death. Numbers that have been presented as facts are the product of speculation.

It was a terrible time in history. Millions died that should not have died and this includes men, women and children. It was a tragedy but it was a tragedy for all those involved. Nobody should be allowed to use the said tragedy as a propaganda tool for spurious purposes - regardless of nationality, religion or any other classification criteria or background.

World War Two is not the historical patrimony of the Jews. It is estimated that more than 60 millions people across the globe lost their lives, peoples of all religions, peoples of all races, peoples of many nationalities.

When something happens in Venezuela or Burma (I call it Burma, not the fancy name Myanmar), politicians are all too quick to react and to interfere in internal matters. When the country involved in abuses is an EU country, there is a deafening silence. People beaten on the streets, elected representatives arrested and threat of direct rule doing away with Democracy... just a list of niceties for which the Spanish government of Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy is directly responsible, contradicting the view that "65 per cent of Catalans want to remain as part of the Spain". You could say that Mariano Rajoy himself contradicts such view because he panicked and resorted to violence instead of allowing the Referendum to happen normally to prove his point of view. Spain went several decades backwards. Judging by the number of Latin American people fleeing Spain and trying to settle down in Britain, those who are desperately trying to keep the United Kingdom in the European Union are shooting themselves on the foot because reality goes against their assertions about prosperity. What prosperity? Spain has been in doldrums for quite a while to the point that no political party has been able to gather enough votes to form a majority government and for quite a while Spain was de-facto without a real government.

I wonder what the reaction of the British mass media, the European mass media or the world mass media would have been if Nicola Sturgeon and the leaders of the Scottish Pro-Independence Movement and/or the people of Scotland had been treated in the same manner the people of Catalonia and its elected representatives have been treated. The European Union has just brushed Spanish violations of human rights and of political rights under the carpet.

In the EU, nothing is final. The fact that Austria, Poland and Hungary were taken to court when they asserted their sovereign rights on Immigration will generate heated debates. In Germany, Alternative für Deutschland entered the Bundestag as the third largest party and in Austria the Freiheit Partei is bound to be a member of the ruling coalition. Expect further developments.

Unable to deal with Spain's acute financial problems, unable to gather enough political support to form a majority government, Mariano Rajoy will lead Spain into a bloodbath.

The European Union, out of excessive caution that it might come to regret, is allowing repression in Spain - a member country of the European Union - while the Organisation of the United Nations has ordered an investigation.
