A futuristic picture of Europe?

 A futuristic picture of Europe?

As days become shorter and Europe moves towards the dark seasons of the year, after Covid lockdowns, come the Dark Ages. In Southern European regions, it would not be much of a problem, but the most affected regions of Europe will include highly industrialized areas.

Manufacturing will be reduced, commercial activity will be reduced, and we will have to calculate the consequences that in some ways could be pretty similar to what Europe had to face because of the measures implemented to deal with the Covid pandemic. As inflation takes hold and energy prices go up, the lack of economic activity with add to the pile of debt - both public and private - destabilizing economies even more leading to what the Deputy President of the European Commission called 'social unrest'.

German cities impose cold showers and turn off lights. Rising production costs in the UK lead to 4.4% in UK shop prices. It is said that EU member states have very different energy mixes: a few countries were nerarly 100 per cent depedent on Russian gas while others used none, indicates an article published by The Guardian in London, UK. There is discontent in countries that used little or no Russian energy that are now forced to make sacrifices for those that spent many years using cheap gas imported from the Russian Federation.

In the meantime, the Rubble, the Russian Federation currency, is booming. Simon Jenkins states that sanctions against the Russian Federation have visibly backfired. Energy prices are rocketting, inflation is soaring and millions are being starved of grain. Having said that, for EU member states the worst is still to come. Keep an eye on Western economies. Keep an eye on political developments. As inflation rises, industrial unrest will grow and political stability will vanish.

European Energy Rationing and strikes: Sanctions against Russian Federation benefit Russian Federation

Europe is shooting itself in the foot: sanctions against Russian Federation benefit Russian Federation

In the midst of a hot summer and talk about environmental crisis caused by rising temperatures leading to fires and meltdown snow caps, people can easily forget that winter will come and that when winter comes energy prices will not only hit the roof because of lack of energy sources. Winter will come with rationing and this will bring with it all kinds of unsavoury situations, conflict and most probably social and political unrest across Europe.

Before there was any talk about rationing, prices were rising steadily and utility bills were hitting consumers that are now going to be told that they not only will have to pay more more the energy they use. They will also have to face the certain possiblity of blackouts.

In Germany, head of industry, trade unions and politicians including the Deputy President of the European Commission are alerting about what is to come. Industries that have to pay higher energy costs and/or industries that are told that they will not have the energy they need to be able to function will face extremely harsh choices. If they decide to reduce operations or if they cannot obtain the energy they need to continue operating, the unavoidable consequence will be mass unemployment.

In Britain, the struggle has already begun. Strikes involving transport will be reinforced by strikes of public sector workers that demand salary rises to cope with galloping inflation. Any salary rises will drain even more an already exhausted treasury. Any loss economic activity will lead to economic losses and will threaten the stability of the British Pound. If the currency collapses, then there will be a double wammy. Britain will pay more for the energy it uses not just because of higher market prices, but because the parity with the US Dollar used to buy oil and gas will be less favourable.

The British government is aware that it will come the time when Britain will be paralized by strikes and this is why legislation is being put through Parliament to counter trade unions to allow agency workers to replace ordinary workers. The problem is that alienating ordinary workers is a leading cause to political and civil unrest and there might not be enough manpower to prevent street battles and widespread violence. By passing such legislation the authorities might be unwittingly creating two sides at war in the United Kingdom.

In the meantime, the witchhunt is already underway. British citizens that utterly disagree with UK policies regarding the Russian Federation are being hunted down and their assets are being frozen and there is even the threat of trials for crimes against humanity. Britain has been encouraging British mercenaries to get involved in the war to attack the Russian Federation, but does not like the fact that British citizens of their own volition actually support the Russian Federation.

Britain is at war with the Russian Federation and sooner than later Britain will pay a very high price for it and the same applies to most countries of the European Union. The idea that Europe and/or Britain can target the Russian Federation without any consequences for Britain and Europe is as naive as the words of Hermann Goering when he promised Adolf Hitler that German cities would never be bombed.

Europe and Britain will have to face the consequences, consequences that could be worse than anything conceivable or predictable. Europe and Britain are moving around with the same self-assurance the inhabitants of Hiroshima and Nagasaki had on the eve of the launching of two atomic bombs.

Just yesterday, both Conservative party contenders for the leadership of the Conservative Party were asked very simplistic questions about Britain involvement in Ukraine. Not even the journalists of the BBC have the brainpower to ask proper questions. The issue was not about sending or not sending the Royal Navy to the Black Sea. The issue is what will happen if Britain is formally involved in the war because sending the Royal Navy would be an act of war. The time for intimidation is gone because any additional actions will actually trigger a European conflict.

Democrats have two houses of Congress and Biden fails to push legislation through?

President Biden in the first two years of his presidential mandate fails to push legislation through Congress despite having majorities in both houses.

He travelled to Saudi Arabia to persuade Saudi Arabia to produce more oil to lower market prices, failed to persuade Saudi Arabia and managed to push up oil prices.

And what will happen in the mid-term elections? Will Democrats lose legislative control with President Biden turning himself into a lame duck President?

This is what America has to face at a very dangerous time in its history.

On the other side of the Atlantic, President Zelenskiy cannot trust his own intellgence officers and sacked none other than the chief intelligence official saying that Ukrainian intelligence services have been infiltrated and this is happening during an ongoing military conflict that Ukraine is losing despite the best propaganda efforts of the BBC, SKY, CNN and other Western media that want to maintain the 'Stalingrad ilusion of a winning Wehrmacht' but this time in Ukraine.

As temperatures soar we might be inclined to forget that temperatures will fall and that Europe will pay a very high price for the so called energy crisis and it is not going to be merely about economics, and issue that is already generating social unrest and will ultimately lead to political crisis and more.

If things don't change soon, this will be the Democrats' Vietnam. Jimmy Carter lost the opportunity of a second presidential mandate because of Iran and the failed rescue attempt of the hostages in Teheran. The withdrawal from Afghanistan was a clear indication that the present American government is not on top of its briefing. It was a popularity disaster as well as a military disaster. Could yet another crisis - this time a financial crisis - sink the Democrats' ship and open to the way to a return of the Republican Party?

Hope Not Hate, British Security Services and misguided politicians and political operators created National Action

Hope Not Hate, British Security Services and misguided politicians and political operators created National Action

Some people in this coutry surely disagreed or hated the British National Party and its then Leader Nick Griffin, but the BNP was standing for elections, getting elected representatives, playing by the rules, and by then there was not talk of any real threats or national security issues.

In fact, there was a time when the BNP has many Counsellors elected, had a Member of the London Assembly Elected and two Members of the European Parliament. Therefore there was no appetite for any unfortunate adventures nor illegal activities. Everybody was playing by the book, but contratry to their names organisations like Hope Not Hate were busy spreading hate and promoting violence by trying to deprive voters of legitimate choices. Finally, the demise of the BNP thanks to do-gooders led to an environment in which individuals like Jack Renshaw, Mark Jones and others went the wrong way and in 2013 National Action was founded not to pursue or engage in legal political activities. They saw the demise of the BNP as living proof that it was no use to take part in legal political activities and this is why the name National Action. This refers to direct actions against those they saw as political enemies.

Years have passed but the same wrong strategies are in place and this includes using anti-terror legislation and in particular Schedule 7 for political purposes, detaining and harassing political operators or even blocking their personal back accounts and blocking party political bank accounts to presumably depriving political movements from the necessary resources that they use to stand in elections. Forced by a party political organisation called Electoral Commission - the Electoral Commission in violation of its remit is preventing political organisations from being registered as political parties and forcing their members to stand as independent candidates in every election where and when they can stand.

The recent by election in Wakefield - called because of sexual misconduct of the Member of Parliament that represented the said constituency - is a clear example. Police forces were used for political purposes to detain, harass, and prevent political operators from engaging in the lawful business of standing in elections. The latest report indicates that thanks to Police actions bank accounts were frozen or closed down and all done for purposes of political persecution in the United Kingdom.

Just a few days ago at Walworth Police Station near Elephant and Castle in London, I had the opportunity to talk with two members of SO15 - I am always open to talk with members of the British Security Services - to give them advice about the errors of their ways and about how the troglodite measures of Police forces in the United Kingdom are actually promoting terrorism. Quite a few examples of such measures tell me that Security Services in the United Kingdom and this goes down to Police Forces in the United Kingdom are out of their depth and have very little understanding of what is actually happening.

Precisely because of the fact that Nationalist organisations are not being allowed to operate lawfully -  many are not even allowed to registered as political parties and on top of that when they stand independent candidates they suffered politically motivated arrests, harassment, have property seized and bank accounts frozen or closed down - there is the certain danger that individuals deprived of the right to take part in lawful political activities might suddenly decide to engage in other kinds of political activities and seek the support of external organisations or even foreign governments to achieve their aims.

External organisations and foreign goverments can hit a pot of gold. As anybody rational and knowledgeable enough would understand, people can become national security assets not for Britain but for foreign organisations and foreign goverments. Security Services and the Armed Forces in Britain know that they have been infiltrated by political operators many of whom have strong support within the Security Services and within the Armed Forces. An article published by The Guardian attests to that but timidly refers - sometimes directly and sometimes indirectly to 'far right extremism within the Security Services and the Armed Forces'.

God help Britain if there is ever a war in Europe. There is every sign that Britain will be attacked from within. When it comes to politics and geopolitics, there are no national borders anymore and British Security Services, politicians and mass media can naively believe that blocking financial resources in the United Kingdom they will prevent well trained operators from doing whatever they set themselves to achieve. For example, financial resources can be transfered without registered bank accounts. Although British troops are not formally deployed in a theatre of war in Europe, the war is already taking place in many different forms and this is being reflected by economic realities. Does anybody understand that present economic uncertainties and political instability are caused by geopolitical decisions adopted by the British government? When you try to destabilize another country because of what is happening in Ukraine then you are bound to suffer the consequences and this is exactly what is happening. Sanctions and other measures adopted against the Russian Federation are backfiring in a big way and both Western Europe and Eastern Europe are feeling the brunt.

What role will British Nationalists play? They have no reason to be loyal to a system that seeks to destroy them and in the process destroy Britain. Something very similar is happening in other European countries. In Germany, both industrialists and trade unions fear economic instability leading to political instability. In the Netherlands, we see different interest groups including those involved in transport sectors and farming taking action i.e. farmers acquiring water canons to counter-attack if attacked by Police forces. None other than the Dutch Vice President of the European Commission alerted about the certain danger of social unrest. Ladies and gentlemen, misguided geopolitical decisions and equally misguided environmental policies will lead Europe towards the 1930s. If Europe moves towards the 1930s, who do you think will benefit? And going back to Germany, will the GrĂ¼nen in Germany be willing to put aside their aspirators if it becomes patently clear that we do need to use more fossil fuels to cope with present challenges? How long will Herr Olaf Scholz coalition last?

SO15, British Police forces, politicians and mass media need to understand that although geographically Britain might be a group of islands we cannot be in isolation in terms of economic, social and political developments happening right now in Europe. They must also understand that blocking individuals and preventing them from participating in lawful political activities they are creating an even greater danger in the United Kingdom.

Contradictory Messages: Weapons? Bad thing? Good thing?

Contradictory messages create serious problems

When German Chancellor Olaf Scholz made the announcement that Germany is ready to invest billions of Euros to beef up its Armed Forces, he forgot to emphasize that thousands upon thousands of Germany will be expected to be trained to use war weapons in combat.

For many generations since World War Two, the German peoples were showered with messages of guilt because of the events of 70 or so years ago. For many generations, Germans were told how bad going to war was. Trying to change all that because of what is happening in Europe nowadays is a dangerous gamble that might reawake what many have tried to forget and have tried to make others forget.

In the USA, Americans grow up with messages about bearing arms and this is the subject of a major debate nowadays. But now let's look at the facts. America needs people trained and ready to bear arms because it has military bases in practically every corner of the world and is simultaneously involved in conflicts around the world both directly and indirectly. If at any point in time you are going to ask your people to go to war, you cannot tell them that they cannot bear arms or be used to bear arms.

Politicians across the so called Western World must stop sending contradictory messages because contradictory messages will cost lives. If you are going to be asked to go to war, bearing arms and knowing how to deal with weapons is a very good thing indeed.

We need consistency. When we talk about budgets there is always talk about increasing funding for education, health and transport and development project. President Donald Trump's criticism of NATO partners was about NATO countries 'not spending enough in defense and expecting the USA both to pay for defense and to provide manpower to fight wars'. Producing a bigger war machine will not be popular with environmentalists. Heavy industries needed for the war effort and the infrastructure involved will consume vast amounts of energy that will come mainly from fossil fuels.

During a television debate in the process to select a new Conservative Party Leader and Prime Minister, candidates were asked about their environmental credentials. They had to come with the usual politically correct answers. Instead of telling the truth, they had to produce the same politically correct answers that never reflect reality. They needed to tell members of the public what they thought members of the public wanted to hear. To sum up, they had to lie in front of television cameras to appease environmentalists and pseudo environmentalists.

The reality is that we need vast amounts of cheap energy wherever and whenever we can get it. Expensive energy produces inflation that destroys incomes. If you want more for your money, you need cheaper energy in vast amounts. Quite a few people ignore the link between cheap energy and prices or simply pretend that the link does not exist. The same goes for readiness for war. You don't create and have trained Armed Forces overnight. It takes years. People need to be used to bear weapons. They need to know how to use weapons. Pacifist nonsense will get you killed. So you have got to make a choice. If politicians keep issuing threats, sooner that later there will be a major conflict. There are two choices: they can continue issuing threats and invest in the war machinery or they can stop issuing threats and prepare themselves for a diplomatic solution. Once again, we need consistency.

Gerhard Schröder: Burning links will only bring war in Europe a lot closer

Gerhard Schröder: Burning links will only bring war in Europe a lot closer

SPD has targetted its former leader and former German Chancellor for not wanting to join the movement towards war in Europe.
If German is destabilized by yet another war, the Fourth Reich will be born and those who now target Gerhard Schröder will be the ones that will fall the first when the debacle beings.

SPD is the head of a very weak coalition becaused SPD became head of a coalition without having won a significantly bigger number of votes. Olaf Scholz has a very hot potato in his hands. Industrialists and Workers joined forces 70 or so years ago and might join forces again when German manufacturing and the German economy in general falters. They will be asking for solutions that SPD will not be able to provide.

The National Socialist Workers' Party achieved what until then had become impossible because Liberals and Communists could not possible offer the economic solutions that were desperately needed. They offered the German version of the American New Deal. The present coalition cannot satisfy all sides and as the Greens keep putting pressure downwards with their ideological postulates about the environment, a German economy will once again face higher prices and unemployment of such levels that the political situation will become increasingly unstable leading to social unrest. As the CDU/CSU collapsed because it could not provide answers and as the SPD collapses, the direct alternative will be Alternative fĂ¼r Deutschland.
