Grumpy Liberal MP: China is a sovereign country and decides who it allows in and who it does not allow in

When a Liberal Democrat MP spends a huge amount of time talking about China in a bad light, it is to be expected that Chinese authorities will not be happy about it. So the decision not to allow her to to stay in Hong Kong was something to be expected.

All the furore generated by Members of Parliament is absolutely childish and unbecoming an MP. China is a sovereign country and China decides who to allow in and who not to allow in.

As a matter of fact, all countries at one point or another decide not to allow somebody in. Britain, for example, did not allow a Dutch MP to bring in his security team and therefore the visit had to be cancelled. So Britain has done it and British Members of Parliament should be honest enough to recognize that they themselves have campaigned to prevent elected representives from coming to the United Kingdom.

Foreign democratically elected representatives have not been allowed by the British government to enter the United Kingdom. There are precedents about it. So if Britain does it, anybody can do it.

So Wera Hobhouse should stop complaining about it because it is a fact of life and Britain has been very much at it.

Keir Starmer: is he a Labour Labour Party Leader?

Keir Starmer: is he a Labour Labour Party Leader?

From the very beginning, and despite a massive majority in terms of number of Members of Parliament representing, the Labour Party has been struggling and will presumably continue to struggle.
None other than Keir Starmer is asking whoever remains loyal to the leadership not to vote for the fuel winter allowance that benefits pensioners in the United Kingdom. Keir Starmer want to get rid of it and cannot trust his own MPs. This week in the House of Commons, Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, Greens, SNP, Independents and presumably several Labour Party MPs might vote against the Labour goveernment. What will happen is tens of Labour MPs vote against the Labour government? Will they all be suspended?

Speaking openly and directly, many now former Labour voters and former Labour Party supporters are saying the Labour Party is no longer a Labour Party and talking about voting for other political parties because the Labour Party does not represent them anymore.

If Labour Party grassroots turn against the Labour Party, who knows what could happen at the next elections. There will be Council Elections across London in 2026 and guess what.... Keir Starmer's constituency is a London constituency. If as a reaction Labour voters across Greater London turn against the Labour Party the situation will be not just uncomfortable, but also very difficult in political terms. There will also be by-elections coming up. The political honeymoon is over even before the first budget is announced.

Wednesday, July 17th 2024 - State Opening of British Parliament

On Wednesday, July 17th, 2024, a new era in British politics begins with the official Opening of Parliament in the United Kingdom.

A new Prime Minister with a massive number of MPs to back him up - 412 - faces a completely different environment. Conservatives down and Liberal Democrats with a massive increase of seats.

The State Opening of Parliament takes place in the House of Lords with the reading of a full package of policies and iniatiatives that the new administration intends to implement from now until the next General Election, supposedly due in 2029. And there is another ingredient in the new Parliament which is the presence of a new player - Reform - with Nigel Farage and Richard Tice at the helm. This should increase the pressure on the new government - pressure that has been perhaps temporarily reduced by a massively reduce presence of Conservative MPs.

But nothing should be taken for granted. As a political commentator stated, big majorities in Parliament can also be a huge nightmare for the man on the chair as Prime Minister. The fact that the Conservative Party has still to name a Leader after the resignation of Rishi Sunak MP, might provide some relief to the new Labour Administration.

And what about the process to choose a new Conservative Party Leader. Despite calls for MPs not to engage in blood letting exercises, the strength of feelings and strong personalities in the Conservative Party, and given the fact that non elected and non-reelected politicians will have a strong influence in the decision making process, could lead precisely to a fight without quarters.

UK Politics: Faces come and go and sometimes they go as fast as they come, but what are the real changes?

We are a few months away from a General Election and all we get is soundbites and statements followed by counter statements from all sides of the political divide, but we are simply building a pile of bad news.

Illegal migration is not going down. It is going up. Resources are been lamentably wasted when we obviously need resources to deal with basic needs. Regardless of the number of state school buildings, the issue is that there are problems that need to be solved so that the education system is not once again affected by avoidable problems.

The number of those sleeping rough is notoriously high and going up and we sense that on top of the number of Britons sleeping rough we have got foreigners that are not entitled to be in Britain sleeping rough on the streets. London has become a camping zone for illegal migrants. Why do people come all the way from foreign lands to sleep rough on the streets of British cities?

It is impossible not to notice those begging on the streets and on public transport. The question is why British authorities are not dealing with such an obvious problem. This is turning London into a Third World shit hole. It feels as if those in charge don't care at all.

What about the state of London transport? London Underground is in dire need of attention. Never mind the addition of brand new stations if the rest of the network looks like work in progress or has simply been left behind. Standards have fallen and there is constant talk of leaving stations unmanned and unsupervised.

One thing has been certain all along: travelling fares continue to go up while the quality of services is going down? Trains cancelled because of lack of drivers? Timetables leave people astonished because few people can understand the rationality of empty trains that do not stop to pick up passengers.

We have become experts at ticking boxes while services fall apart and failures are constantly on the news damaging Britain's reputation.

We vote. For what? In local elections we vote for Councillors. Who are they? What do they actually do? We hardly see them while a myriad of easily solvable problems remain unsolved for decades. Therefore, it is not merely about political parties. The system, whoever is in power, does not work.

UK: the eve of an absolute financial nightmare

Mortgage payments increases and a whole set of new environmental taxes implemented by local authorities will push hundreds of thousands of families over the edge. If something is not done urgently, the financial crisis of years past that compromised the financial system and forced the Labour government to take extraordinary measures to rescue financial insitutions will be nothing compared to what is coming.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown had savings and the economy in general was in pretty good shape. The same does not apply now after Covid and lockdowns and consecutive rises generated by energy cost rises. If families are pushed into default, the impact felt by financial institutions will be massive. The definition of what is affordable has been changing at every faster pace.

For many, once we take all increases into account, disposable monthly income for food will be limited or non existing. The choice will be between having enough to eat and having a place to live in. Whoever is in power in the coming months will have to design alternative ways to deal with inflation. Government and Parliament will have to do the unimaginable to keep things under control. Market economics will not be nearly enough to prevent widespread unrest.

Local elections and by-elections with the feel of a General Election

In another time, it would only about local elections and by-elections. Apart from the fact that London has always been a focal point, this looks like a referendum that directly affects the standing of the Prime Minister and of the British government as a whole.

The scene for the local elections is already ongoing with selection processes of candidates in full swing. You have a chance to do a bit of sightseeing travelling to places where by-elections are due to take place.

What happened to Ukraine. Well, a lot has been said and done and there is mass media fatigue. After seeing a few buildings destroyed and images of refugees, all destroyed buildings and images of refugees start to look exactly the same. People want to talk about something else. Even the debates about Phillip Schofield and Prince Harry's adventures can become tedious. What else is there to be said that hasn't been said before? Like the falls of President Biden, after a while things become a bit boring.

Now, minds are focused on politics. Time for walking and talking before voting or not voting.

Conservative Party pushed down not because of politics, but because ot inadequate individuals chosen as MPs

Conservative Party pushed down not because of politics, but because of inadequate individuals chosen as Members of Parliament. The latest case is Ross Thompson. Too much to drink? Groping men while drunk? At least, Ross Thomson has the excuse of having too much to drink before he engaged in disreputable behaviour.

But two of his colleagues led to the loss of two Conservative seats in by-elections caused by their stupid behaviour.

Neil Parish, a grown up man caught watching porn in the Houses of Parliament. Is there a rock big enough for him to hide underneath it?

And what about a Muslim convicted of sexual abuse against children? Imran Ahmad Khan disgraced not just the Conservative Party. He is a disgrace to his own community and a disgrace to the country as case after case of sexual misconduct become a pile and there is more to come.

These are the people we chose to depict, but there are more. They are making important decisions that will impact the lives of ordinary people and they don't have what it takes to be a responsible Member of Parliament. It must be said that several other (now Former Conservative MPs) have been convicted and/or jailed for sexual misconduct.

Angela Rayner Mp: Finances explained?

Members of Parliament are under scrutiny. Their private finances are under scrutiny. Their private lives are under scrutiny. Some bits of information about Angela Rayner MP have come to light.

On top of an £82,000 MP salary, Angela received in the last twelve months monies claimed as expenses for an amount of £215,000 plus £240,000 as private and Union donations.

When you stand to criticise what other Members of Parliament get for the privilege of being a Member of Parliament, it would nice if you were open about your own finances, about where the monies go and about where the monies come from.

Dominic Cummings: Media feeding psychosis?

You could be forgiven for believing that there is something extremely wrong in this man's head. What is even worse is that this man is being made a number one item on the news by none other than the BBC. The language is changing and is changing for the worse. Dominic Cummings is talking about killing and killing in whichever context that you put such word is not reassuring.

He was fired and one can understand that he was very disgruntled having lost his post as adviser to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, but this has reached levels of obsession or even psychosis. It has come the time when he will say whatever comes to his mind, no matter how outrageous or how dangerous or both it might be.

If he is looking to gain some political favours for attacking the British Prime Minister those who could potentially employ this man must be aware of the fact that if enraged he could turn against them. It could be the equivalent of the King seeking to employ Macbeth as adviser.

Scarborough and many other coastal towns succeed with tourism or struggle without tourism

Fair weather that encourages people to go out and enjoy what Britain has to offer is not the rule, but the exception. Scarborough like many other coastal towns depend very much on the flow of tourism.

While the mass media and politicians seem to be focused on international travel, lets remind them that there is a country called United Kingdom and that millions of peoples depend on seasonal economies.

Would I want to travel across Britain and get to know Britain? You bet that I would like to see every corner of Britain, but when you look at the cost of public transport (public transport that is subsidized by taxpayers) you understand that for a huge number of Britons travelling across their own country is an impossibility. Whether it is Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrat they have had decades in power to ensure the dream of being able to see Britain becomes a reality and they had done very little or nothing to make such dream a reality. They are too busy talking shit about each other and getting involved in campaigns against Britain and against British interests. They are supposed to represent Britain and to stand  up for Britain and they go around undermining Britain and thaks to mass media manipulation and indoctrination many of the culprits keep getting elected. Elected to do what? Promises about a Socialist Paradise that has never existed and will never exist and talk about Value for Money that is translated as Value for Rubbish have destroyed hopes and aspirations for decades if not centuries.

The worst enemy of Britain is  not the Russian Federation nor China nor AlQaeda or Taliban or any other external foe. The worst enemy of Britain are politicians that completely ignore the needs of Britain and walk around promoting their own agendas that have nothing to do with British interests.

Politics in Britain is an absolute shambles. As an example, one of the leaders of the Green Party just resigned 'because she did not agree with her own party policies on transgender issues'. You will struggle to find the link between saving the planet and the sexual agenda. It seems that for the said leader of the Green Party sexuality is more relevant that efforts made to protect the environment.

United Britain: the task ahead

United Britain: the task ahead

After Brexit, the task is to reinforce the unity of the United Kingdom by putting in place policies that show regions of the United Kingdom - apart from the Southeast - that they do matter.

The rise of the SNP didn't happen overnight. Firstly, the Conservatives lost Scotland in 1997. After that, Labour and Liberal Democrats lost Scotland. But then Scotland was not alone. North/South Divide is a reality and then we reach Northern Ireland that has been treated as the poor cousin.

London/Southeast centric United Kingdom cannot go on. Unless the new Conservative government manages to do something extraordinary to create opportunities for all,

When Boris Johnson suggested the construciton of a bridge to unite Northern Ireland and the UK mainland, many jumped in to criticize the British Prime Minister.Well, soonafter Crime rejoined the Russian Federation, the Russian President Vladimir Putin embarked on the construction of a bridge to join Crime and the mainland of the Russian Federation. The construction of a bridge would send a direct message to every nation of the United Kingdom and to the world as a whole.

Will the Conservative government have the sense and the stamina to carry out such a task without repeating the same mistakes that Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats made that led to the present status quo?

It is not an easy task with so many interests that want to break apart the United Kingdom. Some of those interests are linked to internal divisions. Others are foreign and rooted in the European Union that fears the rise of Britain as a serious competitor. The old historical divisions have not gone away. In the end, Germany is Germany and France is France and Germany and France happen to be the main drivers of the European Union. When the time comes, what is going to be on the negotiation table is not the interests of the EU but the interests of the main powers within the EU. And as long as this is the case the future of the EU itself will hang in the balance.

Britain is pulled by blocks and geopolitical realities and very often against British interests. Brexit should mean a truly independent Britain with its own set of foreing policies. The Conservative government will be judged because of its successes at national level and because of its actions in the international arena.,

Brexit: A battle of wills that could lead to disastrous consequences

Brexit: A battle of wills that could lead to disastrous consequences

As many Members of Parliament have sided with the negotiators of the European Union to prevent Britain from coming out of the European Union, the battle of wills continues. The so called Benn's Act would in theory force the British Primer Boris Johnson to ask for an extension to keep Britain in beyond the 31st of October 2019. The Prime Minister has stated that Britain will be out on 31 October 2019 with or without a deal.

When many thought that the political crisis had been averted, the political crisis is very much ongoing. It wasn't even delayed. Parliament will be suspended days before the Queen's Speech. The clock is ticking.

My belief is that the letter might be sent together with a threat: "Should you try to keep Britain in, Britain will use its veto to block the European Union." For the EU, it will very much like swallowing a poisonous frog that in the end will kill the animal that eats it.

What are the matters that Britain will block?

If Britain vetoes decisions on foreign affairs, taxation, justice and the EU budget, such decisions will. not be approved and this means paralisys. Does the EU want to be paralized?

European Union without a budget because of British veto. Well... This could happen right at the beginning, transforming the European Union into a ship without engines and without rudder.

Alastair Campbell: Labour's end of the road

After a lifetime in the Labour Party and of being automatically linked to the Labour Party, it must have been a very hard decision to make but finally Alastair Campbell send his letter of resignation having decided to end his relationship with the Labour Party.

Slowly but surely, the wheel has turned back to the times before Tony Blair or even before John Smith. Some might blame Brexit but this is a lot more profound than that. I do remember the days when Jeremy Corbyn was a very marginal backbencher that was often at odds with the Labour Party's maintream group. Near him you could see the likes of Ken Livingstone and George Galloway. Outspoken, vociferous but with little influence. The situation has changed dramatically and people like Alastair Campbell find themselves at odds with this new Old Labour Party.

Vince Cable as Liberal Democrat Leader spoke about the need to forge a new political force but his leadership came to an end without having achieved his objective. Having said that, it is self-evident that new political forces would surge out of the demise of the old political parties.

Many will mention Brexit as the trigger for changes in the political spectrum but such changes have been long overdued. New names and new political groupings are coming of age. Changes are badly needed to keep Democracy in Britain alive.

Question Time and Diane Abbot: Lack of definitions?

Question Time and Dianne Abbot: Lack of definitions?

Diane Abbott MP
First and foremost, this is not just about Diane Abbott. Yes, she felt that she was unduly treated, but the essence of the problem is the lack of well defined answers. Given the lack of precise answers, people get exasperated. Merely attacking Prime Minister Theresa May without specifically saying what are the alternatives proposed or what exactly the Labour Party is willing to compromise on will generate exasperation.

The Conservative representative explained the situation with absolute clarity. If you want a deal that can be agreed by a sizeable majority, Members of Parliament will have to express in writing what they are willing to accept.

The Scottish National Party put it very clearly. The SNP doesn't want any deal. All SNP wants is to remain in the European Union. Therefore, they will never agree on any deal. If you say that Immigration and Freedom of Movement is non negotiable then those who oppose Immigration and Freedom of Movement and those who want Immigration and Freedom of Movement will not be able to agree because the two positions are incompatible.

If you want a Customs Union and a Common Market you have to live under EU Regulations and therefore you will not be able to negotiate independent agreements with other countries outside the EU. Moreover, having a Customs Union and a Common Market means having to accept Immigration and Freedom of Movement that are sine qua non requirements of the European Union.

No Deal is the default option and the logical option. With No Deal you don't have a Customs Union and a Common Market and you are able to sign up bilateral deals that will suit your particular circumstances and you are able to control immigration flows.

There was always immigration of one kind or another long before there was an European Union. People have been able to move around and go from one country into another as long as they met the minimum requirement for entry. Will Britain stop accepting immigrants when Britain leaves the European Union? Of course not.

Many Members of Parliament and not only Diane Abbott find themselves unable to provide precise answers. Despite talking about a Deal, the Liberal Democrats don't want any deal. All they want is to stay in the European Union. Those who say that they want a Common Market and a Customs Union are actually saying that they want to stay in the European Union.

Delays are just a way of playing for time with the hope of getting rid of Brexit and this is why those who want to remain are constantly talking about extensions.

The use of the words Nazi and Fascist is not news

The use of the words Nazi and Fascist is not news

|Anne Soubry MP
Much has been said about the fact that a demonstrator told Anne Subry MP 'you are a Nazi'.

Anne Soubry should be comforted by the fact the Labour Party followers and representatives, Liberal Democratic Party followers and their representatives, Green Party members and their representatives, trade union members and their representatives, et cetera, et cetera, call members of the United Kingdom Independence Party and their representatives Nazi and Fascist.

In fact, they tend to call Nazi and Fascist anyone that they disagree with.

Non only that, those associated with the aforementioned have physically attacked those that they call Nazi and Fascist.

The UAF (official name United against Fascism) and that I call "United against Freedom" that many MPs fully support periodically engages in name calling exercises and hostile acts leading to violence and bodily harm.

The mass media eagerly cooperate in the demonising of political representatives including those linked to UKIP  but UKIP itself has been found wanting when, across the board, banned anybody who at one point in time was a member of other organisations also categorised as Nazi and Fascist.

Coming from Members of Parliament the over-reaction is nothing more than yet another example of sheer hypocrisy because the environment of hatred has been promoted by Members of Parliament who led to the name calling culture and discrimination against those they don't like or do not agree with.

In today's Britain, people who have been/were  members of certain legal political organisations are banned from employment in certain branches of public organisations and those who having been employed for a certain time are found to have been members of the said legal political organisations face the sack and not just from employment in the public sector.

Not long ago, Richard Barnbrook, former Labour Party Member, who joined the British National Party and was elected London Assembly Member, was told by authorities of a well-known English University that despite his knowledge and credentials he was going to be rejected because of his political background.

Political discrimination exists in the United Kingdom and it has been deemed acceptable by Members of Parliament like Anne Soubry. Therefore, she should search her own conscience to see that she is just suffering the consequences of what Members of Parliament like herself have promoted.

Just hours ago, in Germany, a representative of Alternative für Deutschland was brutally attacked by a gang of the German equivalent of the UAF, and headquarters of Alternative für Deutschland have been the targets of politically motivated attacks. This is the direct consequence of intolerance promoted by so called mainstream political parties and politicians for whom the ends justify the means. They are eager to justify such attacks but then cry foul when they - the original perpetrators - are targeted.

Brexit's new nightmare: Theresa May allows a motion of disclosure of legal advice that comes to haunt her

Brexit's new nightmare: Theresa May allows a motion to disclosure of legal advice on new deal that comes to haunt her.

Geoffrey Cox MP - UK Attorney General - confirms that May's deal is a pile of dangerous shit - a calculated risk he called it.

What the so called deal actually does is to lock up Britain and put Britain forever at the mercy of the European Union, unable to come out of a bad deal.
Sticking to what Geoffrey Cox MP said on the floor of the House of Commons, Theresa May's deal is actually an act of treason that transforms Britain into a colony - forced to adopt decisions made by the European Union and unable to challenge decisions made by the European Union. Not the kind of Brexit that people voted for in 2016 on the EU Membership Referendum.

Parliament now wants to know what exactly the legal advice give to Prime Minister Theresa May was - not a bit of it but the whole of it. Theresa May's is terrified of the truth coming out just a few days before the so called Deal is going to be put to the vote in the House of Commons. The vote is due to take place on December 11th 2018.

Jo Cox's assassination proves a fundamental point

Jo Cox's Assassination proves a fundamental point

Levels of anger are rising exponentially and if politicians choose to ignore public anger they will do so at their peril. Ivory Castles are no protection whatsoever.

We are going though a transition period and uncertainty is overwhelming. No one should feel safe because there is no safety.

If the political class doesn't meet the needs of the people they are supposed to represent there will be dramatic consequences. If the electoral system is not fit for purpose and more and more people feel unrepresented violence will follow.

Political clarity is not a matter of convenience. It is an absolute necessity to keep Democracy alive. If Members of the House of Commons choose ideology instead of reality, they are going to pay the ultimate price. If people like Vince Cable and others keep adding logs to the fire, the consequences will be dire. There cannot be any reconciliation. The country spoke but too many Members of Parliament are bent on ignoring the peoples' vote. Liberals are trying to sell a lie. Look at the state of many countries in the European Union. What do you see? Do you see the ideal image that people like Vince Cable are trying to sell? The Paradise they are trying to sell looks like Hell on Earth.

Those they call Far Right are the ones who are fed up with the mess Liberals have created. Those they call Far Right are the victims of ethnic cleansing promoted by Liberals like Vince Cable. Flood Immigration is Colonisation and Colonisation is fuelling crime against local populations.

HMRC: Employment Figures are Fake

HMRC: Employment Figures are Fake

Statistics about employment figures are the biggest con in history:

  • People who are in temporary employment and often earning amounts that are below legal standards are considered employed.
  • People who are on temporary and often unstable and predictable employment are classified as employed.
  • People who are on Zero Hour Contracts who never know how much they are going to earn and/or how long or how often they will be able to work are classified as employed.
The records of those seen as employed are fake and have nothing to do with reality. HM Revenue & Customs HMRC are fake and have nothing to do with reality. HMRC doesn't have a clue about how many people are truly employed. By the time employment figures are released such employment figures do not reflect what is really happening.

Her Majesty's Government couldn't care less as long as the ruling party can boast about positive figures and pretend that everything is fine and that we are moving forward.

The Welfare State is a mess but it is mess that was created on the basis of value for money. Different services were amalgamated as a way to reduce the number of public jobs. Taxation is a mess and the Welfare State is a mess.

One of the direct consequences of such a mess is that more and more people are now in what is called the Black Economy. They are not registered anywhere, they are not paying taxes and many are paid a lot less than they should be paid because not been registered and working cash in hand they are not protected by existing legislation.

As always, VALUE FOR MONEY has turned into VALUE FOR RUBBISH.
