I became aware that things like this can be seen in London as an acceptable by-product of housing demand that cannot be met and that in London unscrupulous individuals that 'rent' sheds with beds are allowed to get away with murder.

This is how some people who cannot afford decent housing are actually living in the capital city of the United Kingdom.

I just wondered how, despite all the health and safety legislation that we have got, local authorities can possibly allow this to happen.

Immigration is about numbers and this is even more evidence that proves that we are not managing to meet basic needs.
